Why oh why do they not put Cameron Wake in the game more?? I can't tell you how many times I hear the coaching staff say "we didn't have a good enough pass rush, we need to win more 1 on 1 battles, we need to get to the QB rushing only 4."

Well guess what coaches, Cameron Wake does ALL of those things. He gets in the game at the 2 minute drill when the Pats get close to scoring. First play in there, causes a QB hurry. Two plays later, QB Sack!

How much more do you need to see from him to know that he gets to the QB??!!

I want and demand an answer from the coaching staff why they didn't put Wake in more? And I don't want to hear, he's not as good at stuffing the run as JT or Porter. I want to know what in the world they're thinking because they must not be seeing what I'm seeing.

I could not agree more. I was saying the same thing watching the game. Evertime this guy is in he is hurrying the QB if not getting a sack. Taylor looks really good on the right side and Wake should be on the left. Porter is the odd man out in my opinion, but they would never bring him off the bench. Wake is by far our best past rusher and Porter isn't doing great against the pass or the rush so there is No excuse!

Sparano isn't going to bench Joey Porter because he thinks Porter's some kind of emotional leader. Well if you're not doing jack squat on gameday then he needs to be benched and Cam Wake needs to get into the game!!!! Porter is washed up. He's now all bark and no bite.

Bring Porter in for 3rd downs, keep him rested, he doesn't need to be in there as much as he is. Let the younger guys play more and the older guys use their energy more wisely.

I get a kick out of the Porter apologists who refer to Wake as a "pass rushing specialist only". This is actually what Porter back in the days when he was good. How many tackles does Porter get? Very, very few. I'm also tired of hearing about the emotional leader. He is not a leader. He's a mouth that gives the other team bulletin board material week in and week out. The rest of the team seems to be a fun bunch of players who play a unique brand of football. He's just a loud, washed-up interference they honestly need to rid themselves of.

The reason why Wake doesn't play is beczuase he can't cover but why not just put him at defensive end?

Can you or someone please enlighten me on these coverage skills Porter apparently has which I have never ever once seen??

What I don't understand is why doesn't Parcells tell Sporano to put Wake in? I KNOW Parcells can see that Wake is by far our best pass rusher.

And I understand the whole hands off thing, but when our coach is doing something terribly wrong, Parcells needs to step in and let him know about it.

No Wake zone not yet - the caoches don't even treat him like a rook..., all he does is produce with minimal snaps... Porter and JT are running so wide for containment on a pocket passer LT just pushes off with left arm and Brady has all kind of time - makes me upset... Brady is not the threat to break containment...

As he learns his coverage responsibility's he should get more PT, Porters done, but they seem afraid to put what is essentially a rookie out there with all the LB position (in a 3-4) entails.

And Joey Porter can cover:confused:
In the last 23 GAMES Porter has defended 2 passes
and has ZERO INTERCEPTIONS

MAYBE YOU SHOULD ADD JOEY PORTERS NAME TO THE
CANNOT COVER LIST...

I agree. This coaching staff is really struggling with deploying its personnel properly. I think they are cautious in many respects.

Cam Wake and even Charlie Anderson/Quentin Moses bring more juice than Porter does right now. We would be better off with Anderson in our base defense and Wake on passing plays.

On the other side, Roth should play more to give Taylor some rest.

I would like to see Roth/Taylor on one side and Anderson/Wake/Porter rotating on the other side.

This is so obvious yet the defensive coaches cannot see this.

On offense, its just like the failure to get Pat Turner on the field.

The coaches are mentally inconsistent. They are wildly aggressive with the wildcat and will put Pat White on the field in critical spots. But they won't play Anderson, Wake, and Turner.

We need the athleticism these young guys bring. The coaches need to coach them up and get them on the field. That's the coaches' job. Proper use of personnel is a major weakness with this coaching staff.

when the pats go to a 4 wr set.which they do alot.porter lines up at de all the time.he got man handled. he didnt even compete sunday.wake should have been given a full series at least twice during the game.he had some penetration, and gave the tackle a good fight.when teams start running at wake and running him over.then i will get it.but i just havent seen it yet.they run at jt and porter all the time big deal.

I think its funny how the FO delayed signing Taylor, because they didn't want to hurt the development of the younger guys, however Taylor is playing reasonably well, and it is in fact Porter that is hurting the development of the younger guys.
