Yes they look awesome - however, luckily this will be a home game.

We can move the ball against the Saints to keep their offense the field (remember the #1 rushing offense?). We may have to score 35 to win this game though.

(Please let Cam Wake play along with JT and JP).

With Henne, I can actually see us getting 35 points. I don't think they'll get 48 points on us either. However, NE got 48 points on us in Miami last year, so it's not like it can't happen.

Our OFFENSE HAS to be Effective next week, or else...

We score less than 20 points next week = WE LOSE!!!

Anything could happen but u cant compare games like that. Do the Jets and Bill have better defences then the Giants because Brees didn't put up those numbers against them? We'll see what happens, you never know, our running game could keep brees off the field for the majority of the time.

That Saints offensive line is stout in pass protection. I think we send some cb's and safeties on blitzes. Sean Smith on Colston. Gonna be another tough one.

BTW- did you guys notice that the Saints put in another tackle instead of a TE on obvious passing downs. We're gonna have to blitz the other side or something.

Just to let you know the Bills were dropping 7-8 into coverage, completely selling out for the pass. The Saints ran the ball quite well against them and slowly pulled away. The Jets secondary had a great game against the Saints receivers and Brees was slightly "off" target. It was just a matter of time before Brees heated back up. As a Saints fan I've never been able to say this but......they are the best team in the NFL. Of course against the 'Phins the "Any given Sunday" rule applies.

wow, didn't see that....good pick up

Jeez ... Drew Brees is ON FIRE in 2009. He got a 156.8 QB rating in his game against some stiff competition ... the NY Giants. 76.7 completion %, 23 of 30 for 369 yards and 4 TDs, no interceptions. They beat the living crap out of the Giants ... 48-27.

So much for the conventional wisdom that a 6'0" 209 QB can't make it big in the NFL. Drew proved that short QBs in the NFL can be damn good. Brees is playing as good as or better than Peyton this year.

Saban screwed up bad to say the least when we had a chance to get Brees a few years ago when we were deciding between Drew and Daunte Culpepper. I bet the Chargers feel the same way now too. Brees turned out to be much better than Phillip Rivers. They could have kept Brees and got rid of Rivers. Hindsight is 20/20 though of course.

Needless to say ... I hope all our DBs are watching the game film of Drew Brees in 2009 very carefully. They are in for a huge challenge next week at Landshark. It sure would be sweet to beat them. They probably need to be humbled a little anyway after they beat the Giants today. The Dolphins could help them get a little humble pie by winning next week. :chuckle:

Brees had a good day, but he threw into a lot of double and triple coverages the Giants just didn't make a play. We need to make those plays! Then control the clock like the Indy game. That is how we win!

I'm not saying that the Saints will put up 48, but both the Giants and the Eagles said the same thing.

Honestly (as a Saints fan) I'm a little worried about this game. The Eagles moved the ball against us easily when they used the wildcat.

I'm not sure if this is a Pat White statement but Drew Brees has always been a passing QB. Pat White is a running QB that can pass.

shockey will kill us all game

this, potentially, might have to be Sean Smiths "signature" game.Whether he gets another pick aginst New Orleans,or shuts down Colston, but I do feel if Smith cant control Colston,we'll lose this game...

I guarantee you that the Dolphins will use a game plan for the Saints similar to how we played the Colts on Monday Night Football earlier this season. The idea will be to control the clock by running the ball as much as possible. Go up and down the field really slow.

Keeping Drew Brees ON THE BENCH is going to be a key to winning. Of course our DBs are going to have to play their very best football. They gotta bring their A+ game. Linebackers are going to have to cover people a lot better. The Saints can run too I hear. Bottom line, the Dolphins win by controlling the clock and making the Saints offense twiddle their thumbs on the sideline.

At least we get a bye week to come up with something. The bad news being that it is easier to come up with a new thing on offense then a new wrinkle on defense.
