I think his first name is Jeff.

Although we know Bill was the man in charge at the draft, and free agency, etc. Ireland probably had a pretty big say in what happened, and he was a big part of putting together this team, but people just seem to forget he's even part of our organization

I give the guy credit for all of the personal and draft moves. He deserves it! Well, maybe not for Wilford, but you can't win them all...

There is no way that he is coming on board with the Big Tuna as a pawn. I'm sure that he has done an excellent job this season. Nobody is perfect with the picks and free agents, but he and the rest of the front office TEAM has done an excellent job with what they had.

I really thought that Wilford's contract would be a very good signing. I figured he would be a large target within the 20 yard line for an accurate passer like Pennington. But so far he has not shown up ready to play and earn his paycheck. I did not see him as a starter next season when we signed him. Now I think he will be cut this offseason UNLESS he makes some great plays during a playoff run.

Well Jeff Ireland has been here for 1 season. He was off by the Wilford but he needs to spend some time in this franchise for us to properly evaluate him. I will say that he is the best we got in a while. Tuna deserves the credit for choosing two good guys to run this.

Also, when Parcells eventually retires, Ireland and Sparano will be the people in charge. So its obvious that Parcells isnt making the decisions by himself

Bill Parcells is the embodiment & reason of all that is good
the association that he assembled reflects & completes his work

Some of Ireland's finds have been magical--the resurgence of Lou Polite is problem his biggest sign of the season. I can't remember the Phins having such a money player on short yardage situations, he's an excellent blocker and he catches the ball out of the backfield. Cramer's release speaks volumes on the coaching staff's regard of Polite. The Trifecta stuck with Cramer for weeks while he was injured which is a virtual no no and finally even after he scored his first career TD he was released because he can't see the field. Good job Ireland. Now re-sign Goodman and YB, get us some depth in the secondary and at WR.
