I live in Charlotte so obviously everyone here is excited while simutaneously talking trash to me - Awesome day for me BTW.
I keep telling everyone here that the only thing that will make me feel better about the way the season ended is if someone (Ireland and Sherman primarily) gets canned. Traditionally though, can't we all feel it in our guts that nobody will be fired and no changes will be made? Ross is a wuss that seems to be on the end of the puppet strings of the very man he should let go.
If something is going to happen, we should have all woken up this morning to news on it already being done. There is no reason to wait or "think about" this - Ross should have known last week if we lost to the Jets and missed the playoffs how he would handle the staff.

This team is phenominal about never coming through for the fans and keeping everyone around will be the final blow to those of us on this site that suffer yearly rooting for this team....Nothing will happen - Bet on it.

I think you are wrong. I think there will be changes. Taking time and not making an emotional decision is sound practice everywhere but on Finheaven.

There is NO WAY that could happen. None-at-all! Someone is getting fired.....

If i could have I would have fired Sherman immediately following the 4th and inches play where they handed the ball to Clay 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage instead of a QB sneak.

Honestly I feel like Sherman will be fired and that's about it. The really sad thing is I don't believe he is the sole cause of all our woes, and I don't expect much to change - in fact if I'm right I can almost guarantee we'll be having the exact same discussions next year at this time

Patrick bateman i feel you are right. And iam a diehard fan.To much of this fan base thinks with their heart and not their head.I don't wear rose colored glasses. The ones in charge of this mess are not trying to bring back a winning tradition. And could care less about us as a fan base.

I agree with the last 2 posts...Changes should and need to happen but hell, we had fans picket to 'Fireland' and this guys has been on the hot seat for years and nothing has happened. I am just trying not to get my hopes up as I tend to get sucked into with this team.

No way is Sherman getting fired if Philbin stays. I'm not convinced Philbin wants the job badly enough to let Sherman go under the bus without him. I agree with the OP. Ross doesn't trust his own abilities as a talent evaluater to determine that Ireland needs to be fired, as I do kinda think that Ireland holds Ross's hand.
It's like some movie I saw where an elderly person's caretaker was poisoning her slowly and everyone was telling her to get rid of him, and then she would ask him "are you poisoning me", and he would say 'No Ma'am' and she would just believe him as she got sicker and sicker. This is Ross's tenure as owner of the Dolphins. His trust is in the perpetrator of his own destruction.
Actually, the better example is in the second (or was it 3rd) Lord Of the Rings movie, where the one king's chief aide was poisoning his mind, making him about to burn his own son on a pyre. I do think that was in Two Towers.

Guys as long as the ownership is raking in the cash (that's what its all about anyhow) They could care less. I seriously doubt if they are even fans. I will be willing to bet they all have a hearty laugh if they read the posts on this board. Were all just little nobody's to them....

I tend to agree that Philbin won't fire Sherman. This could be our saving grace however forcing Ross just to clean house.

Best solution would be to fire everyone. Won't happen though but at the very least Ireland, Sherman, Special teams coordinator Rizzi and offensive line coach Turner will have to go to. The results of their groups weren't good enough.

Philbin's walking dead personality has infected the team. He needs to go. Rex benches Milliner, and Geno for bad play. Joe doesn't do that. Belichik makes Talib kneel next to him after his fighting with Steve Smith. Joe wouldn't do that.

I don't see anyone getting fired. I don't think Ross wants change where he thinks we will regress. Prove me wrong Ross.
