I think this article is dead on...especially the quote below:

"We should have known how far a coach alone can go. And can't go.

And we should know how the success of the Saban tenure is to be determined: It will rest on his record from January through July."

Nobody wins with bad roster

This article should be on the main page for all haters and doubters to read!!!!!! Once they read it then maybe they can take a long glass of STFU...if you know what I mean:D

And who helped make up that Roster? How many on the roster are Saban's players...I guess they came to the team by Osmosis. So when you say bad roster...you have to place some blame to Saban...he is the boss.

Id say only about 20 of those players are sabans.
The others are JJs and Wannys.

I count 27....thats half the team...and in reality...there all Saban's players...otherwise they shouldn't be on the roster.

I think he kept some players that he doesnt really want just because of the cap i.e Reggie Howard. If we believe that Saban truly is rebuilding this team from scratch, he probably only has 1/3 to 1/4 of the players he really wants. Next year he should have anywhere from 2/3 to 1/2 the players he wants. Regardless of which number it is next year, he has to bring us a winning record next year. 7-9 would be a failure in my opinion. Five more months to the draft Fishypete. Saban's Dolphins career is riding on that one. Let's hope he succeeds

I believe it's sooner than that...He'll build mostly with free agents and use the draft for the talent positions....otherwise it would take 5 years to do the job thats needed. So watch who he tries to bring in...that will tell us who he'll go after in the draft.

at least pretend you know a little about football. You cannot replace an entire roster in one year.

I never said he did....or should. And I believe have enough football knowledge to chat with everyone including you.
