I have been watching West Virginia's games and they have a really quick little running back named Noel Devine, who I think will be the next Maurice Jones-Drew. I am not 100% sure whether he is coming out since he is now a Junior, but he is very hard to tackle. I think he is projected as a 3rd or 4th rounder right now. Here are some highlights of his....I think we need to start looking at getting a RB to replace Ricky as he is probably going to retire after the 2010 season:

Devine is nowhere near as big as MJD was in college. There's no way he could last a whole season starting at RB for an NFL team.

Remember, everyone is fast in the NFL.

Yeah but few are as fast as Devine. I have heard he could run a 4.2 40 at the combines. I think Jones-Drew is around 5'6" .....I am not sure sure Devine is a lot taller....they list him at 5'8" but that is probably with him wearing boots. I would not draft him before the 3rd round, but I think he will be solid in the NFL despite everyone saying he is too small.

In my opinion, Devine's stock will shoot up at the combine. Everything they will be testing for, he will succeed. Dude can bench over 400 pounds and squat 600. I have watched every single one of his college games and I have only seen him fumble once. He is strong. He's got close to a 40" vertical and is very fast. He is also quick. He has Barry Sanders type moves. I would love to see him in a Dolphins uniform.

Yeah he is like a smaller Barry Sanders....lots of guys are fast but this guy has moves like Sanders where he can change direction at any time, and he is very strong. He also reminds me of Darren Sproles of San Diego. He could definitely run back kicks as well. :woot:

I would definitely like a home run threat like Devine in our backfield. How do you defend Ronnie running inside when you have a sprinter like Devine coming across on the sweep?

This F.O. will never take a player with as many off the field issues as Devine.

Everyone said Vontae Davis had characters issues as well....most of it is total BS. Sometimes you go out with some friends to a club and there is a fight that you had nohting to do with, but you get labled as a head case. Devine lost both his parents at an early age, so he hasn't had the easiest life, but Deion Sanders and others are mentoring him to make sure he doesn't screw up.

Pretty much only those folks who live in a cave don't know who Noel Devine is. He was a youtube sensation like his soph. year in HS

Yea I realize sometimes you go out and fights happen, but when in your life have you ever needed to stop someone in the head or chest when they are on the ground. I say pass on any Deion mentored players.

Hope everyone is watching what Devine is doing to UConn today....he just busted a 50+ yard run for a TD and he has 178 yards on 23 carries late in the 4th quarter.
