Nolan Carroll from yesterdays practice

Carrol played Corner back last year, I haven't watched the practices, so if he switched to safety thatd be interesting, but I know last year he was a corner.

Who said anything about him playing safety? But in his limited time last year, I thought he played very well. I think it was the Browns game where he dropped an easy pick 6 that wouldve won it for us

How much is he weighing now?...He flashed a few times last year but he also looked a bit thin out there. I hope he bulked up a bit, and I would love for him to get some serious playing time this year.

-Fourth pass went to the right side and Nolan Carroll jumped the route and nearly intercepted it.

todays practice per sun sentinel.

all they have to do is play them and continue to develope them

expecially reshard as we need a ball hawk in the deep secondary in the worst way.

but, this is sparano, yet another miami coach who just doesnt seem to want to develope young talent. if you dont come out and make 3 pics in every practice then your going home or off to a team who relishes talent and knows what to do with them.

sparano seems to be a shrinking violet in the face of some of the more "spirited" players like rashad jones and matt roth who the browns started imediately and were rewarded with 6 sacks in half a season of play!

so i dont know. carroll and jones are two of my fav young players but its in sparanos hands as to if they will get a fair chance to develope.

NOTE: would be nice to see roth come back huh?

Sparano not wanting to develop young talent...you don't know what you're talking about. obviously they wouldn't have drafted these guys and they wouldn't have been on the team last year if they didn't want to develop young talent. And, the Dolphins have the second youngest team in the NFL.....what was that you said about not developing talent?

ahhh...my deep sleeper pick to click is showing well it seems in camp...its all about opportunity for caroll imo...if he gets enough reps he may make a heck of a boundary cb pretty soon here

Also, Roth was a plain old douche. He essentially was high maintenance and we are trying to develop the right culture here. Yes he started with Cleveland last year but look and see that he is a Free Agent this year and the Browns are in no hurry to sign him. His Diva ways are apparent there also....he'll be lucky if he's on a team this year.

I'd love to see Carroll and Jones get lots of playing time this year. If those two kids develop, we'll have a nasty secondary to go along with that nasty front seven. Maybe we can shut some teams out, cause I think we're gonna need that.

Carroll has excellent size and speed for a CB. I recall he had some injury issues in college (?broken leg), particularly his Sr year and that probably caused his stock to drop. Very smart guy so on paper he appears to be a guy who can develop into a very good DB.

he has alot of developing to do but im callin it, if he continues to work hard and land a nickel spot on this defense he is going to turn in a great DB for years to come for the fins.

lookin for alot of guys from last years draft to make a big splash. Odrick, Edds, Jones, Carroll, The defense could be really special. All we have to do is put up 23+pt. avg and we are 10-6 gaurranteed. Provided special teams are not horrible for half the season.

Hell 17 pts should be enough.

Offense: Jake Long / Pouncy / D Thomas / Bess / Hartline / Henne / Jerry (7 of 11)
Defense: Wake / Soliai / Misi / Odrick / Clemmons / Davis / Smith (7 of 11)
Not including quality depth players like Carrol, Jones, etc....
Fail to see your point brotha....
I guess negativity is also bliss....
