I hate that any player on the Dolphins who is not Pro Bowl caliber "sucks". There are worse things than being an average NFL player. Trust me, I watched the Dolphins secondary in 2007.

That's not how it goes. Carroll just sucks, he isn't even average. If he was average I wouldn't have a problem with him. That's all i expect him to be for what he is.
Ur 100% correct. I don't understand the hate for Nolan Carroll. He is smart and disciplined and competes every time. Patterson and Grimes have way superior natural skills but Carroll is a decent 3rd DB and has improved significantly.

the guy you should be calling out and saying that he sucks is resahd jones. let me clear that up, he really really really sucks. he gets a huge deal for 1 good year and then turns into the pile of sh*t that he is. most of the times he looks disinterested and completely out of the play. he made one play behind the line of scrimmage last night with a 10 yard running start and the rb still fell down and picked up a yard. of all the players on this team he sickens me by far the most.

You're right, he has gotten better. He's not an ideal starter but he's a capable third corner/reserve. Hey, I'd 'target' him too if Brent Grimes were on the other side of the field. The DB play was certainly not a problem last night. I mean Glennon was 11-21 for 139 yds and an INT. I think he got half that yardage on the opening drive...

You don't see too many big throws to TE's and down the field though do you?....I think he has something to do with that. He hasn't been great at times but I totally disagree he has sucked.

Lol. It's true. I think people forget sometimes that EVERY top QB in the league completes over 60% of their passes. The other team IS going to complete passes against your secondary. Again, if this is based on last night, I'm a little perplexed given that Glennon completed barely 50% of his passes for 139 yards. Most of that yardage came early. Believe it or not, when the QB DOESN'T throw the ball to an area it often means the DB has done a good job. I think that happened a fair bit last night. He also had a nice pass defence in the game.
Most of those yards and completions were done across the middle against our linebackers and safeties. Grimes and Carroll scarcely gave up much at all. The problem is that we are terrible in the middle of the field against the run and pass. Poor linebacker play is what people should really be upset about, but I think one 30 yard play is a lot less of an issue than a dozen 5-10 yard plays that extend drives for the other team's offense and keep our offense off the field so they don't even get a chance to run a balanced attack.

Wtf....Really Nolan ****ing Carrol is what some people are bitching about......We have way bigger problems than this guy who has played solid considering he really should not be a starter.
We really don't know how good any of these guys are. The sad fact of this season is that it's a lost season and yet we still are seeing no rookies get real game time minus a kicker. We have no better idea what any of these guys can do in real games than we did on draft day.
