How bout hire Nolan to be the Head Coach, promote Bowles to the DC, Keep Daboll as the OC. Coaches are usually very hungry the second time around. And I believe our defense loves playin for Nolan. I have been saying for the past month I firmly believe this team is ready to win now, just not with Tony Sparano..... Thoughts?
 
Because Nolan was such agreat head coach in San Fran. Some guys just arent HC material.

We'd keep some continuity. I like this idea.
 
Yeah what better way to continue down the path of mediocrity then to bring back the coaches that led us to such a miserable record. Sad day in Dolphins land when posts like these are made.
 
Sad day...c'mon....the first 7 games are what they are...new offense, new guys, no training camp, poor conditioning....the later part of the season is more a showing of what this team can do.
 
Yes, because after three losing seasons, coaching continuity is the key...
 
No, no, no. Nolan wasn't a good coach and I am/was having doubts about his ability as a DC after this year. Sure, we finished ok, but his schemes didn't do diddly the first half of the season.
 
I normally wouldn't support this idea but I am all in. I really think the lack of a preseason hurt some teams more than others and we were one of them. I really think we were on the right track at the end of the season; however, I would like to see Ireland tied to a track! And Ross on a stool in the corner with a dunce cap on until he learns to do what Snyder did and get the H%%% out of the way!
 
Ireland + Nolan. Hmm the Bomb for Barkley option. Just wake me up in 12 months when it's done

Maybe not my first choice, but not a terrible idea, IMO.
 
This is why we keep spinning tires in the mud year after year. Dolphin fans are more concerned with saying, "I have a head coach right now" rather than exploring the market and making the RIGHT hire that backs his truck up and pulls us out of the mud yee-haw redneck style.

Enough with this crap that we just need to hand the franchise to a guy who would be more than thankful to have a head coaching job for the first time in his life or another crack at it after he failed the first time.

Wade Phillips comes to mind here.
