So has anyone else noticed that we basically have had absolutely no significant pass rush the Broncos game? Think about it. Sure Joey got a few sacks in but Wallace,Russell,Bulger,Losman,Cassell, and Thigpen all had ALL DAY long to throw on us it seems like. We need a different scheme defensively on Sunday IMO. Anyone agree? Please elaborate
 
They better blitz the crap out of that old piece of crap. he can't move and throws garbage when pressured. let him sit back there all day and he and any other qb in the nfl will pick you apart.
 
Our pass rush has been dismal. Horrible. Something needs to change before Sunday and I suspect it will...
 
I think long drives against us, and basically disappearing on offense during the 2nd and 3rd qtrs of games (not the KC game) on offense have caught up with us a bit. Hopefully that long 10 minute drive in the 4th in KC helped some, but our D has been on the field quite a bit and looked a bit run down against KC.
 
Your right our D has been on the field a lot in the past two games. If we dont get to #4 we will not have a chance......
 
What worries me is that Joey is basically bull rushing everytime he rushes the QB. He needs to try spin moves, swims, etc. Do you think we can run some stunts and attack different gaps with the pressure? There is no creativity in this defense.:shakeno:
 
We just need some creative schemes to get to Farve, and we cant let Jones run all over us. Hell if the Seahawks did it so can we!
 
and freaking tackle people! Man, how many swipes did you see? I seen more swipes in the KC game than an ATM in a strip club!
 
In the KC game, KC for the most part stuck to fast throws. It was the quick screens and short stuff that hurt us and no player can make a sack in under 2 seconds. KC had a good game plan to counter our pass rush.
 
We have been going up againt some good O-lines....the Broncos have Clady and others who don't get beat often. Sunday we didn't get to Thigpen much but it is not because we weren't trying. Did you see the way McIntosh pancaked two of our d-backs on that long run late in the game?...I think it was Hill and Allen who he plowed over on back to back blocks. They both got jacked up....but at least we won the game.
 
We are talking about Joey Porter and not Junior Seau in his prime. Joey plays good coverage but the coaching staff is just making him get to the qb all the time. We need to get different defensive looks.
 
I agree 100%. If we don't blitz then we don't get to the QB. We need to get to Farve or it will be a long afternoon. I hope they make some adjustments and get lots of pressure.
