While there has been 2 threads regarding Jacksonville and Orlando TV issues I thought it necessary to make one mega-thread to cover the entire state of Florida and everywhere else we Dol-Fans call home.

I don't know about the rest of y'all but I have had enough of this crap and we need a plan of attack, basically we need to get together and just name a place in a particular area as the Dol-Fans bar, take that bar over and run out the other Buc's, Jags, or what else that crawls in.

I used to live in Tampa, and now live further north in Brooksville and in both areas there are tons of Buc's bars which is understandable given that Tampa is home to the Bucs, which is annoying since I'm a Dolfan, but what ever.

What gets me pissed is that there are actually more Yankee sports bars then Buc's bars in the Tampa Bay Area (Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Polk, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Highlands, and Sarasota), and by Yankees I don't mean the baseball team, I mean Steelers, Browns, Giants, Bills, Jets, Colts, Patriots, Ravens, Lions, Vikings, Packers, Bears, etc., heck the only dang Fins bar is Dan Marino's Town Tavern that is located in St. Pete which might as well be on the moon.

I must digress before I go into a long rant...

Everyone no mater of where you live just post on here and lets try to nail down some bars that we can invade and take over and turn into a Dolfans bar.

:tank:

Get Sunday ticket and your house can be the bar . . . . thru the whole season, it ends up being cheaper anyways then going out every sunday and spending 20 or 30 bucks on beer, fries, wings and gas.

I was in Orlando for the start of the season last year and it really sucked. I had to hit the Orlando Ale House in Lake Buena Vista and they always had the fins on the small TV while they had the Bucs, Jags, Bears and others on the big screens. The Fin fans have disappeared in recent years outside of South FL.

I know what you mean about those "Yankee Bars." I've been to a few bars in Polk, and literally it's nothing but Packers and Steelers fans. It's crazy.

well, lived in Tpa for 20 years, never had much of a problem catching the phins till after the 1997 season; then it was like you only going to watch the Bucs or nothing at all in most bars. Totally different up here in Atl, I have watch alot more Dolphins games up here in the last four years than in Tpa. Hope you can establish something down there.

Or just download Sopcast or TVU which helped out most of us non-Florida guys greatly last season.

Well NFL Sunday Ticket is the way to go if you have Direct TV if you have Bright House like me then we will have to try to invade a bar and take it over every Sunday.

Since I will be living in Brooksville I will be at the Beef's or Hooters up there once in a while if any one else lives in the area wants to make a stand.

Doesn't Bright House have something like Sunday Ticket?

Unfortunately, they don't. Sunday Ticket is only exclusive to Direct TV. The NFL should really expand that to the cable companies. I can call Outhouse and can get NBA League Pass, ESPN Game Plan, and all of the other leagues, but no NFL. It really sucks.

Hey, dolphin75, where in ATL do you live? I live in Newnan, but there's a sports bar in Peachtree City called Y-Knots, that shows every game.

The best place to watch dolphin games is at your local Blue Oyster Bar.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist. For those who don't know what the Blue Osyer Bar is watch any of the Police Academy movies)

anyone live in east orlando? waterford lakes, avalon area? I like Buffalo Wild Wings. They're projection screens and tv's are huge. Plus there seems to be a good number of fins there already.
