Noodle arm nickname misplaced

Do you think it’s just the hip that keeps him from being that extender like he was in college
see, thats thing if you watch like documentrys bout tua in college and draft. like the medical reports and the doctors all stated his hip was healed and actually due to the procedure was somewhat stronger then before.. soo its odd

it makes me feel its subconscious , like even thou we seen him run and do dumb head first dives, its like he is afraid to be as mobile as he was in college.. cause by all accounts as said medically he is fine, well mminus injures he has suffered during his time in the nfl, but hip wise he should be fine.. so I dunno.. as said It comes across as a mental block or something..

ofc its jsut speculation and i dont have no phd, but if he is physically fine in regards to the hip.. there has to be some explaination, which its a shame cause ****er was mad mobile/ throwing on the move, hell throwing pretty decent throws on the move.

but it certainly all seems to correlate to after the hip injury

People want velocity, accuracy, touch, mobility, AND anticipation. So do i, but, real world, how many QBs in NFL hx had all of those.
I mean.. marino.. maybe burrow.. bout it, and even then you could ? the anticpation side of it.

i thinkin you have more chance of finding a unicorn, or a sober irishman(jking.. don't get mad anyone)

Maybe but some is probably weight gain. Tua is high school and college was tiny. Here’s a photo of him throwing the gw in national championship. Look at his arms and legs. His thighs almost look double the size then in this picture.

Was listed at 218 at Alabama but if I had to guess he’s closer to 205 in this picture. Tua we’ve seen has been around 225 to up to 240ish reportedly in 2023. With that said I’m not sure I ever want to see a 210/215 Tua.

Tua should have never seen the field his first season. His hip was healed, but the rest of his body wasn’t.

And I’d bet money that the injury to his hip is a major factor in him slowing down.

Tua's arm strength looked really good in 2023, this is because i believe his hip was finally healed, but he reinjured it last year, that hip injury will be his downfall, not his concussions. You can't throw a football without core strength.

I remember reading that Tua threw the football at 88 miles per hour, which matched Tom Brady among others. I think Josh Allen was at 102, or something insane like that.

The point is, Tua’s arm is strong enough. It's more about accuracy, and ball placement, than arm strength most of the time.
It’s strong enough. That’s never been the issue for me. For me it’s when his footwork is off, or he’s forced to improvise, a LOT comes off the ball. This is true for most QBs but then you’ve got to be able to escape and reset - something Marino was awesome at - which is why I favor a more svelte Tua to the larger version.

Na. He's still got a noodle arm. People often confuse arm strength and velocity with ability to throw deep. Two QBs can throw the ball 20 yards, however one QB may need a lot more time for the ball to get there.

oh it seems to have had some effect, but as said wierd cause from what i saw with rehab , he is fine.. its just odd

yeeeh right.. with how nfl is compared, him at 205 would die if he got hit.. and its bad enough already

No ****? Rocket scientist in the house.

There are studies that show some people never regain their normal walking and/or running speeds after an injury like Tua’s.

I said it back in 2020, he wasn’t ready to comeback. I honestly think the rush to get back on the field permanently hindered his recovery.

He showed some signs of making plays on the move last year. Enough to make me believe, the svelte Tua, could get it done.

Yes and this leads to the reasons why this is an important topic that I talk about a lot.

You want the best version he can be from a QBs perspective, not gain bad weight because of some incredibly flawed logic that that’s gonna keep him healthy.
