Norm Chow

I think Norm Chow is one of the most talented coaches i've ever seen. While at USC he made opposing defenses look incompetent. Even though he has only coached in the NFL for 2 years, he has done a great job as the Titans OC. Even when they played us in week 3, the Titans offense really made our defense look bad. I was at the game and if not for Kerry Collins (who they signed a couple days before the reg. season) they would have destroyed us. not to mention one of their receivers also fumbled the ball while almost running it in for a TD. I really thought Chow outsmarted our Nick Saban led defense. If we could get Norm Chow as our head coach, and keep Capers as our DC, i think we can be a very good team.:dolphins:

I'd like to see Norm Chow. I want an offensive minded coach. Whether it be Chow, or Saunders, or Cameron, or Whisenhunt. We only scored like 17pts/game this year. That's not good.

A lot of people have put Chow as one of the coordinators to be interviewed, the thing the bothers me is his age. He has been a winner everywhere he has been though!

I dont think that Dom will stay if he is bypassed by somebody who is older, and who doesn't have experienced as a HC.

I like Norm too. He's a good offensive mind which is perfest for us, that's where we need help most.

I'm not a fan of hiring Chow, but he's not too old and that shouldn't be a reason not to hire the guy. Marv Levy took Buffalo to many SB's when he was what, in his late 60's/early 70's?

Alot of times Offensive minded head coaches like to call their own plays (Mike Shanahan, Andy Reid). Most coaches are defensive minded so thats why you dont see them calling their own plays.

But if we can keep Capers it would be excellent for us because Capers hasnt fared off very well as a head coach and he's kind of old so I dont think anyone would want to snatch him from us like they did with Linehan. For example, the Eagles DC Jim Johnson is very good but hes not getting any head coaching offers because hes old, even some seem to forget the Bears DC Ron Rivera coached under him with the Eagles but Rivera is the popular candidate these days.

So I dont think anyone would hire Capers away from us, because they would only be able to hire him away if they offered him a head coaching job. Which means we would have a similiar situation to the Eagles. A great offensive mind (Andy Reid/Norm Chow) and a very good defensive coordinator that nobody wants as their Head Coach (Jim Johnson/Dom Capers):dolphins: .
