I am normally optimistic by nature, but find myself being fairly pessimistic about our chances of beating the Chargers tomorrow. Besides being a fan and always wanting the Dolphins to win, what factors do you see that might give the dolphins a chance?

A bad SD pass defense and a Dolphins offense that Scott seems be be figuring out how to use a little better.

Yes but....

True, but can we keep the Chargers front 7 off of Gus long enough for him to capitalize on their weak secondary?

I think having an offense that doesn't hesistate to take shots downfield can be a factor in our favor because the Chargers are good against the run, but suspect in pass defense. If we make them respect the pass, it'll open up the run even more.

The reasons we win

1-Saban will have the players playing better than they have ever played

2- ZT and JT want back in the playoffs sooo bad, even if its just a small chance they can smell it

3- I trust Sam and Daniels vs two mediocre Charger WR's

4- Gates and Tomlinson are the only 2 guys that CAN beat us and we will shut at least one of them down, the other will have to carry the full load of the offense which I dont see happening vs a defense that wants this game so bad

I read the thread and would love to see it happen that way. Hopefully you are a better prognosticator than Nostradamus. However, unless their run defense melts down I think you may be overly generous in your yards to R & R. We can always hope, though. :D Go Fins!

I think that a big question. They are 3rd in the league in sacking the qb.

i'm pessimistic every week....but this year i'm fairly confident the Pats will clinch the division this week.

Gus doesn't seem to do too well when he is under constant pressure and my fear is that San Diego will be able to pressure him. They haven't racked up all those sacks accidentally.
