Isn't it a waste to harp on Raji if he's gonna go early, I would love to get him but I don't see BP trading up at all.

I'm real high on Raji, he's a dominant nose and would be a great nose tackle for our system. You wonder what makes great defenses like Baltimore and Pittsburgh, and it starts with their outstanding nose tackles. Apparently Raji was dominant in the first senior bowl practice. Heres a link to people who impressed and those who didnt do so.

report of the NOrth and South pratices.

ALL i hear from every site i have been on is what ive said all year long. RAJI is a beast and he does what i said i ahvetn seen neone do in a while, break the pocket even when he is being double teamed. hes a pass rushing NT which is quite scary.

this one is south

Raji still strikes me as a 4-3 undertackle type. I'd take his teammate brace later in the draft for good value- more of a true 3-4 NT. Good size at 6-3, 330.

My wish list is still Alex Mack, Percy Harvin, Max Unger, Hakeem Nicks and William Moore. One guy who I like a lot, but we have Smiley and Thomas returning- Duke Robinson. Dude's fierce and a mauler. At the end of the day, despite some weaknesses in balance and pass pro- Alex Mack.

2nd round- we probably go D unless one of the above slips, but I do like Herman Johnson.

• Louisville OC Eric Wood played guard and center, was excellent in pulling, and impressed on lookers with his toughness, grit and coachability. He's a smart technician who has real potential to start in the league. However, Wood was overwhelmed at the point of attack several times, and could stand to improve his core strength.

I'm telling you, get this kid on a good weight program to add 10 or 15 lbs of muscle and he will be a 10 or 12 year starter at center for you.

That is all the kid needs too, this is a value pick for the Fins if we go Center . . . I really like Wood as well.

Mack is a name more than anything else, I have watched film of several of the centers in this draft, and there is no reason that Wood couldn't be the BEST center in this draft when it is all said and done. Yea he needs to get his muscle strenght up and yea he might not be better than Mack the first season or 2 . . . but career wise, he could match up with him, and be even better than him . . . and he can be had in the 3rd round.

Very Smart kid with alot of experience at Center. I feel confident with the Offensive line minds that we have on our staff, we can get this kid where we need him to be.

Based on the first practice, u gotta Love the idea of picking up one of the 2 Boston College NT's . . . and all these mocks with Brace in the 3rd and 4th rounds, we can start to eliminate that . . . maybe . . . and I mean maybe he falls into the third . . . but it will be the early third, not when we pick. Kid may not be there in the 2nd round when its all said in done. I have pretty much given up on being able to acquire Raji in the first. He won't be there, unless he just has an awful combine or rest of the week. Don't see it happening tho.

Brace will eat blockers and clog the middle better than Raji, but Raji is the better penetrator and pass rusher. It's like pick your poison. Considering we are in the 3-4, Brace IMO is the better fit for what we want to do . . . which is STUFF the run up the gut. Brace can get a little penetration as well . . . just not as good as Raji. I'm starting to think that 2b. is the latest we can get Brace . . . and that could change after this week and game.

The guys on the North defense that I was impressed with was Victor Harris (Va Tech) and Keenan Lewis (Oregon State). Both corners and both did really well today receivers v. db's drills.

yea im hearing harris did very well so far. as did ma boy delmassss. layed out barden eh? : )

more info on anything else plz thanks!

South practice about to start....May**** is talcking about how good for the Wildcat White is...truth is, he looks quick off his feet, and his arm strength is not bad, havent seen the long ball though...hes throwing into the wind, and hitting his target

Parcells and Belicheat are sitting together in the bleachers.....and Billy is wearing a KILLER Fins jacket....
Maualuga looked great in his first attempt to rush the QB...got creamed in the second, but looks powerful....Clay Mathews did OK...nothing spectacular as a rusher. Cushing hasnt been able to beat his lineman in 3 atts...
Physically, Maualuga looks massive, compared to the others
Massoquoi just beat R.Johnson on a deep outs, and caught another tough one falling down...Hes got great hands....sorry, just dropped an easy one
Mike Wallace WR from Ole Miss got good separation from his defender, and has caught everything

MITCH KING!!!!

he is an undersized DT from iowa and so far has just been UNblockable.

they talked a lot about him and everyone they talked to who faced him said
they wanted no more part of mitch king. when the other coaches in his
conference were asked who was the toughest player they faced, to the man all
said mitch king!

he was WASTING every o-lineman in front of him. i see him as a PERFECT
3-4 DE. he would be the ultra replacement for vonnie holiday.

if you get a chance to watch any of day 1, you will see.

NOTE: ron brace was jumping off sides about every 3rd play.

The thing with Maualuga is he is a pure inside backer. Coming off the edge is not what he does, so the drill was different for him. He's not going to be expected to do what he was doing in that drill in the NFL.

Also, in the North practices earlier, Darius Butler had an amazing play in which he stuffed Brooks Foster at the line completely ending the play before it even started. Butler is solid.

Fili Moala is strong as an OX beat everybody, including Eric Wood the C...Michael Oher got beat twice by Viekune from Hawaii, who looks like a long haired Truck
Moore from USC has some nice moves, isnt huge, but finds a way to the QB
Oher just got revenge...stopped him cold twice
Peria Jerry is a big, penetrating dude, carries the guard with him...
Ayers just did a FINE moove on his guard, on his way tothe QB, he isnt huge though
Caldwell is amazing at G, nobody beat him
Cushing finds a way to the ball carrier, great motor
White just threw a strike in traffic
Massoquoi with another great catck, big dude!
Foster RB TENN, beat everybody
