Some of the surprises are Troy Smith's size ( 6 foot even and 222 lbs.. he's apparently gotten a big chubby but hes got a really solid build )

Chris Leak measured in at a whopping 5'11 and 7/8ths and 203 lbs. Apparently he's slender but hes some room to build muscle on his upper body, with a thick lower body.

One of the weigh in people listed David Bowe at Linebacker and when she heard he was a wide receiver, she said he's the biggest wide receiver she's weighed in. He's listed as 6'2 220 lbs

Also, look at Buster Davis. He's 5'9 but a massive 244. I think Earl Everett weighed in nicely, 6'2 and 235 lbs..

NFL career is in serious doubt.

Actually, most of us had him measured at 5'11.5, and 208 lbs ( what he was at the team weighin for the National Championship ) so it really won't affect him. Right now, if he has a couple of amazing practices in the Senior bowl and a good combine workout, he'll be a 4th-5th round pick

The biggest effect on the Dolphins is Amobi Okeye. He's 6'1, 287 so he's a no go for the 3-4. Sorry boys.

They're two guys we need to give consideration to in the 2nd & 3rd rounds respectively. Our LB corps is very thin.

I would love to have either one. Everett especially, he's great in coverage, although I don't see him last til the 3rd.

Not neccessarily. Holliday is only 288, Zgonina is 290. We don't really run a true 3-4 anyway & we won't until Jason Taylor is no longer on the team.

Amobi Okoye is 19 he isn't even done growing yet.

Miami needs a 3-4 DT, thats why we haven't switched to a traditional 3-4 just yet. Taylor only has 1-2 more years left, so any DT we go after now would probably have the fit the 3-4 mold.

Its the same reason I dont see Miami picking Jarvis Moss in the 2nd if he falls.. they dont need a Jason Taylor replacement, they need a true OLB like Earl Everett ( can you tell Im really impressed with this kid? )

Also, Tyler Palco is officially 6'0, 7/10ths. I cant believe that Troy Smith is 6 foot FLAT.. thats so crazy.

edit: As true as Amobi being 19 is, he still wont be a top 15 draft pick like he was before. You don't want to risk having to add on 30-35 lbs on a kid.

I didn't realize he was so short.

I knew about Smith, they had him on the NFL Today back before the title game and had to change the interview to seated because he looked even shorter than 6'0 standing next to Boomer and Dan.

If you read my older posts, Leak and Troy Smith were standing next to each other and Leak honestly looked a tiny bit taller, probably because of the shape of his head.. or they wore different sized cleats. I mean, you'll be hard pressed to tell the difference in person between 3/10ths of an inch. The fact that he showed up so flabby is what people are talking about. He was 214 at the NC!

Leak being so skinny is what shocked me. Weird how some kids can just gain tons of weight while others just drop it

Maybe the burden of losing was too much for Smith and he just pigged out for the last 2 weeks.

I would LOVE to get ahold of Everett, we could probably get him later on than Siler (they're both very good LBs, but Siler is the bigger name). IMO, I think we should give snap up Everett in the early 3rd if he's on the board still...early 2nd might be a bit of a reach.
