If they have to stay in school until they are seniors there is a reason and its not a good one. Id like to see us take Kelvin Benjamin. Just my $.02 of the day.
 
No? I liked alot of guys. You know, some people have circumstances and some character to stick some things out. There is nothing wrong with players who stick around. Maybe its a championship. Maybe they want to finish their degree. Maybe they think they will get bigger money by staying.

Maybe they had to play behind someone for too long because they were too good.

I dont know. Alot of good players played in the Senior Bowl. I remember Philip Rivers lighting it up. I remember patrick Willis going sideline to sideline. Didnt Kaepernick play in SB? maybe it was East West shrine. But these games mean something. Scouts love the Senior Bowl. Its gives them an up and close look at the players who might get overlooked.
 
I totally disagree, don't think it says much if anything about them. Also not high on Benjamin at all....I think he's gonna struggle at the next level. Plus WR is about as low on our needs as anything.

Wasnt andrew luck a senior? He was kinda good. And that was the first damn name that popped into my head

Russell Wilson was a 5th year Senior. You know how many O-lineman get drafted as 5th year Seniors or redshirt Juniors (making them essentially Seniors)?

There's been some dumb statements made on the board lately but this one ranks up their with them all.

Benjamin should have stayed in school another year. He made great strides from being a talented football player running downfield and catching balls to a WR that ran better routes and started understanding how to use his big body. He may be a late 1 or early 2, but I think if he stayed another year he would have been a top 10 pick next year. I hope going early doesn't actually set him back some.

You have obviously never played football at a competitive level before. These kids play D-1 for a reason, they aren't bums. Not everyone is LeBron James, blossoming into a pro right out of hgh school. Ever think some of these seniors got into football later in their lives, and didn't grow up with it like all the players who declare early? Your comment was insulting to me as a guy who has aspirations in playing this game personally.
