Pats almost lost at home to raiders and jets, both teams had the ball on their last drive with chance to win. Steelers lost at home to bucs. Chiefs got blown out at home to titans. Chargers needed a 4th qtr comeback to beat raiders. Seahawks lost to the rams. None of those teams have more than 2 wins.

Our game yesterday was over in the 3rd qtr. it wasn't pretty but the biggest thing was we didn't beat ourselves. Only way we lose yesterday is if we give up a pick 6 or give up a special teams td or turn the ball over a bunch of times. We didn't do any of that. I hate when people say "oh if they play like that against the chargers we lose". Yea no $hit, but teams don't play the same way every week. If we played like we played against the chiefs we would have lost to the bears, but guess what, we played much better and won.

Just win baby, any given sunday. On to the chargers.

never apologize for a win, good teams can still win when they don't play their best. Not every win will be pretty.

Trust Junc in this one...he knows about not pretty football.

this thread will probably get lost in the doom and gloom "we're losing our next 4 games" threads, but this is exactly right. A+

Both good points. Not only did we Not cough up a Should-Win game, but we handled it by the end of the 3rd with all 3 phases, O D and S/T and won by double digits. It's not like we were rallying in OT to eek out a weak FG. We had a bad first half but came back strong and rather quickly. Swinging momentum is another thing good teams can do, and the Fins are showing that although they're not a perfect squad, they've got fight in them to make things work and keep games from getting out of hand now, compared to the past few years where a comeback was usually out of the question except for garbage-time TD's.
Things are looking up. Even in an ugly win, they're showing they're not content with losing.
