I don't know how much chatter's been going on at finheaven about the Dolphins winning the division, but if it has and I've missed it, I apologize ahead of time.

Miami mathmatically can still win the division. They are two games behind New England, but New England has a better division and conference record. So the only way Miami could pull this off would be for them to win out and New England to lose out.

And that just ain't gonna happen!

No one loves the Dolphins more than me, but I can't believe some of the idiots that I work with.., "they can still do it..yes they can...even if they tie, Miami can go to the playoffs". Next year will be our season to make a run at the division and a playoff appearance.

Sorry, I just had to vent

I heard the same thing before the Chargers game. And guess what, it did happen.

When you think about it, it's not that hard. Sure, it's a long shot but by this time last season, we had no shots whatsoever. We must win out last three games and the Pats must lose their last three....we play the Pats in week 17 so that takes out 2 of the six problems. I'm not sure who else is on the Pats schedule but I wouldn't be surprised if someone upsets them.
 
Preech on! The team hasnt been mathmatically eliminated, and until they are, VIVA LA FINS!

Wow. This is the one week that I wouldn't mind if Cadillac stole the ROY right then and there. Go Bucs!!!!!!!
 
the fins will win out the playoffs probably won't happen. but we get a win in gillette this year.

You're absolutely right, since NE owns the tie breaker. However, IMO, just to be in a mathematical situation at this point in the season this for us has been a huge accomplishment to say the least!
 
one little problem, the week after the Bucs: NE vs NYJ(they could pull an upset, look what happened to the Raiders)

As much as I kind of agree that it'll be very unlikely we get in...I would be bummed out the most if the Patsies lose the next two and then beat us on Jan 1...that would really put a sour taste in our mouths....if we aren't going to make, so be it, but make it the Patsies winning somewhere else but still losing to us in Jan...

Bummed? Yeah, me too, but if it happens, who'd have thought we would be playing for the division title on the final day? I'd call that a very successful season, coming off 4-12.
