When Taylor hit that 67 yard strike to Goodwin I thought we were done for. Based on our track record alone. What a HUGE win, so good to be playing some meaningful games going forward. Im buying into Coach Gase, I think the guy knows what he's doing and I think the players respect and like him.

Did anybody else think we were done for when they connected in that long TD? And what are your General feelings surrounding the team?

It thought so, ....maybe. There was still a lot of time left, and if we could answer(I think we did with a TD) it would be back to a 4 pt game, and we'd have momentum back.
It really depended on that following drive.

the game thread sure did. A ton of 'game over' after that TD. Not sold on Gase yet though, but I'm enjoying what I see so far from him. I think the real difference in the last two games has been the OL though.

I did not exactly think we were done for, same as if Miami is up by 14 or more, I don't think a win is in the bag. Considering Miami was moving the ball far better then the Bills (To that point, all the Bills points had been because of short yardage drives), I still wanted to see if Miami responded, which they did.

I will say though, after that long passing TD, I did start to get worried.

I kept telling myself there's no way we should lose with this kind of rushing production.

My 1st thought, was "yup, that's the Dolphins I know."

Heck yeah I thought we were done. We went down 17-6 to a divisional opponent. I was still doubting even after we got the TD and 2-point conversion. So many years of failure makes a fan cynical. It really has been difficult to enjoy the wins the last two weeks when I keep expecting the game to change and take a turn for the worst. That's just been the norm for years.

yeah I also thought it was it. I was thinking our D is going to pack it in the rest of the game.

This team needs to grow up some and learn to stop making things hard on themselves. We should have won the last 2 games by at least a couple of TDs and they needlessly ended up being closer than they should have. Don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic about the wins....but they drove me crazy towards the end of both games the last 2 weeks!

Yes, I thought the game was pretty much over (just based on past history).

What's interesting though is that in an interview with a Bills D-lineman, he said their D thought the game was pretty much over after that long TD pass and they were excited that they could just pin their ears back and go after Tannehill. He said they were caught off-guard by Miami continuing to run the ball on the following drive as they were caught in some sub-packages and got gashed. Next thing you know, Miami scores a TD and 2 point conversion and it changed the whole complexion of the game.

My natural dolphin reaction was to say "****, game over!" but then suddenly I got a little hope and I'm happy now. We even avoided total disaster AND flipped the field when we got pinned on that perfect ST play they did.

I felt the same on that long TD. Totally defeated at that point. Started going over my "post dolphins loss" checklist.....avoid 4pm games, maybe take son to park (did that anyway)

The subsequent comeback felt Fantastic as result. Very unexpected for me.
