Welp, Jack just became that much more valuable.

If he's there in the 6th or 7th i would take that gamble. Can't use precious earlier picks though

Yep. Solid playoff times can afford to take risks and wait for a player like Smith to get healthy. Teams like the Dolphins that need to fill immediate holes AND add depth cannot possibly spend a pick like this before the fifth round.

Looks like we pick CB after all.

I wouldn't rule out edge rusher at pick 8. Especially if OV hits FA and Wake negotiations get stalled.

I would have agreed, but we'll see if any are worth drafting at 8. At this point, it looks iffy at best.

On Smith, I don't think the NFL is missing out on a great player, but you still have to feel for the guy.

I agree on DE. I don't see one 4-3 DE worthy of 8. Very weak class, IMO. I'm looking in round 2 or 3 unless I get a trade down offer if I'm the GM.

Joey Bosa is getting all the hype but I would not be surprised to see him drop. He's a strong side DE capable of 6 or 7 sacks, IMO. Just ran a 4.86 40.

Noah Spence just ran a 4.80. He's more twitchy than fast but not an elite prospect.

Clemson DE's worry me. Vic Beasley didn't do much in year one and he is a freak. Andre Branch, Da'Quan Bowers, Ricky Sapp, Phillip Merling, Gaines Adams,

I would look at Nassib, Dodd, Ogbah in round 2 unless I can get a better DT in a deep DT class. Ogbah likely jumped to round 1 because of 4.63 40.

Value at 8 is Hargreaves, Jack, Ramsey, Tunsil, Stanley and that's about it, IMO. If they are all gone, I go for a DT (possibly from Alabama) or an OLB. Maybe even McKenzie Alexander.

I have Ogbah and Bosa as the only DE's worth drafting in the top-10.

Billings outperforms Bueckner. Tells you everything you need to know about both.

Take Billings and you can afford to cash in on some great athletic LBs in this draft rounds 2 to 4, without over worrying about having a thumper in the middle. It's definitely an option.
