If it’s about a QB who just in college alone where every player he faces isn’t an NFL starter is injury prone vs one who is not. You have to way your options at the back up. Yes back ups are for injuries, obviously, but what kind of back up do you need, what will he cost, and will he be willing to be a back up? Look at the QBs in the league rarely if ever injured. They don’t have the best back ups and they don’t cost much. If we draft Tua I would not complain at all. I am just saying reality exists.
After game 6-8 his name is FitzTroll and Rosen has very outside chanceMost backup QBs are not very good. That’s why they’re backups. Think how good of a backup the Fins will be able to attract with Tua as QB.
Even if we take Tua, I want another guy in rounds 4-7; Morgan FIU, Gordan Washington St, ....whoever has potential. Washington, for all their failures, did the right thing when they took RGIII and Cousins in the same draft. We have FOURTEEN Picks. We can afford to use a mid rounder on a 2nd QB. A QB room of Tua, Rosen, prospect would be OK. You can always flip one later, who knows. It makes sense to have a strong backup, especially if Miami drafts Tua. Yes, other quarterbacks could get hurt too. But Tua's has an injury history and the hip has to be a concern. Perhaps, that's where Rosen comes into play. I know Flores talked about how much Rosen improved. At the very least, maybe he becomes a good backup.
Rosen is not good enough to be a backup now?
When will his fall end?
