culpepper is holding on to the ball to long......the o-line is giving him ample time.......receiver's are open.....they were open when gus was behind center culpepper is just holding on to the ball to long.

yeah i think its a bit of a combination of both but yeah culpeppers has to make his reads much quicker and get it out of there 21 sacks is not good enough

I dont really see how you can say that the oline is consistintly giving him ample time, but when they do he doesnt seem to capitalize on it. When he gets healthy though.....Watch Out.

It's pretty bad that even Houston knew if they blitzed the hell out of us they could win the game. C-Pepp didn't even have a chance to throw the ball.

This is my problem with posters who think its CPep that is the problem. Yes, in instances he has held on to the ball to long . . . hell all QB's make that mistakes sometimes, and maybe CPep is holding on to it longer than the average QB is . . . but to say the OLine is giving him ample time just really corupts the credibility of this thread and poster. I mean its just a stupid remark. I rather u say, Cpep needs to get rid of the ball quicker because the Line isn't giving him much time to work with . . . but to say the o-line is giving him ample time . . . is just silly.

Have you ever watched a game? Thanks for sharing your football knowledge, or lack of.

CK has a nice breakdown in the VIP section on the o-line and Daunte holding the ball too long. Three, just THREE sack have resulted in Daunte holding the ball!!! The rest have been the o-line giving Daunte less than 2.8 seconds.

The more I watch the games I think a majority of the problem is the o-line. I've seen LJ get beat pretty bad a couple of times, and Bennie Anderson had 2 horrible games at the beginning of the season, plus we've had 3 different RGs.

At the same time, there are quite a bit of sacks (namely the Buffalo game), where C-Pep had enough time to throw, and wouild either run right into a sack, nor not scramble when he had time and space.

I honestly believe that most of Daunte's problems are mental. He's too worried about hurting his knee again, but that does not exclude LJ Shelton from putting DE's in bear hugs to stop them

Teams wouldn't send everyone if Daunte could make hot reads against the blitz.

Sorry, but it is the offensive lines fault!! Are you watching the same game that everyone else is!! Yes, Daunte Culpepper is also at fault. The entire offense has major problems. But don't tell me that the offensive line is blameless because that's just not the case!!

I don't think the OL is playing very well but CP sure isn't giving them any help.

Our OL is NOT entirely at fault, but I would give out the blame about 65/35 against the OL. DC is holding onto the ball too long, and our WR's are not getting open quickly enough. But were run blocking is concerned I feel it is 80% poor blocking on the OL and 20% failure of Mularky to run the ball enough.
