cuz lord knows that is a rarity in here, but who else is afraid that if we lose and don't make the playoffs, the bipolar group in here will kill themselves??? These guys run so hot and cold I can just see the "choke artist", "fire sparano", "cut pennington" threads. If we lose the last 2 games, I STILL think this was a FANTASTIC season, well exceeding our expectations.

I think it has been real positive around here latley. Winning does wonders.
 
I sure dont wanna see peoples responses on this forum if we lose, but i have faith we wont have to see that!

That's a big time dilemma lose and miss the playoffs but never have to read those stupid posts again or win make the playoffs and read how we should have run the ball or passed the ball on a certain play even though we won.

hahaha...amen...it's the old saying your damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't...I for one think that regardless of the outcome of this season, this team made a statement and this staff made us true believers in the direction they are taking this organization.

I can see it now:
"Tuna's gotta go," "Bell's overrated," "We shoulda taken Ryan," "Let's trade Penne if we can get a 2nd for him," "There's no excuse for ever giving up a TD in the red zone!," "We shoulda kept Parmale and traded Ronnie," "Will we win more than 6 games next year if we don't make changes?" "Hate to say it but this season's now a disappointment."
..ad nauseaum!

... and isn't "bipolar" just a more PC way of saying "manic depressive" ??

Dont worry about being positive. There was nothing in your post that even comes remotly close as qualifing to be considered positive.
 
Regardless of what happens this has been a fantastic season. To be relevant in mid December is superb. Play offs or no play offs I`m happy. The franchise is going in the right direction with the FO doing a great job. The next draft will be crucial to our progression. Next year will be a tough schedule
 
Super Bowl or bust IMO. I think if we do not win the Super Bowl, we should not only fire Sparano, but cut the whole team as well and start over. We need to build through free agency. If someone cuts a 35 yr old WR that had a good year 5 years ago, we need to throw some serious money at them. If we can snag Shaun Alexander and somehow lure Brad Johnson from the Cowboys, then pair them up with Keyshawn Johnson and Freddie Mitchell, we would then be truly elite.
 
Ok, new question along those same lines. Say we win our next two, go to the playoffs, have a strong, hard fought game in the first round, but come up short.

If we get knocked out of the playoffs in the first round, will people be happy that we just made it, or will the negitivity return?

I guarantee you it's going to happen. Some will say "Oh we won 9 games, who cares, we could've won 12 if Henning didn't run more".

Can we just win the Super Bowl already so we can all be satisfied? Or will someone say we didn't win the Super Bowl by 40 pts as we should've?

I always said I'd be thrilled going 8-8 but truth be told, I'll be disappointed if the Phins don't make the playoffs. They have exceeded our expectations while raising the bar at the same time.
