Hi Everyone,

The Palm Beach Post has an article that says that Ronnie Brown and his family are waiting on the agent to get the contract done. :shakeno:

The good news is that they say he is studying the playbook and working out:

"He spends his days at a local gym, usually about three hours every afternoon. And he spends his nights studying the Dolphins' playbook, usually another few hours."

I would post the link, but I don't have enough posts yet to put up the URL...:dunno:

once he sees the guys playing monday night than he will get a deal done...i think he will be in camp sometime next week...at least he is working out and studying the playbook...

that makes me feel much better after reading that article...

That makes me feel better too, but only slightly. We NEEDED him in camp yesterday.

Nope u can never blame the agent.

The agent works for Brown. It is Browns decision in the long run. He is the boss not France.

He'll wind up playing fullback. His only chance at starting will be when Ricky is serving his drug suspension. Miami shouldn't pay that much for a fullback/back-up

if Brown wants to get signed he can go tell his agent to go shove his fat @ss into oncoming traffic

Glad to hear that Brown is working hard and learning the plays.

I can see a senario that Brown doesn't start all year. It might not be until 2 or 3 years before we see the player we drafted #2. With all our supposed depth, especially Ricky getting back to pre retirement shape, there is no way Ronnie supplants him in the first team.

Yes there is. Ronnie can do more in terms of his all around game than Ricky can. When Ricky is at the top of his game, there is no denying that he is a great runner. However, he is only an average receiver out of the backfield and is a below average blocker in pass protection.

Ronnie is above average in all categories. The difference in their running is more than made up in the difference in their play in all facets of the game.

I think Ronnie will do more in the long run because you have to take account for him as a runner and a receiver, and he will knock your dick into the ground as a blocker.

From the tone of that article, which is probably not quite the whole story, Brown seems to be putting too much stock in his agent and not being involved enough..If it were me, I'd want to be in that guys face every day wanting to know what was said and done...France will be making a bundle off of Brown..he needs to earn it...perhaps he is, but we and apparently Brown doesn't really know whether he is...

As long as Ronnie Brown gets signed on monday. That way he'll at least play 4 pre-season games.
