In order of 10th worst to the worst...

10. Jeno James – Could have put several other OL here at # 10, but considering his contract he receives the honor.

9. Randy McMichael – Was 2nd on team with 62 catches for 640 yards and 3 TDs. But drops, lack of focus/effort and poor blocking lands him at #9.

8. Travis Daniels – Injuries contributed to him making the list. Only 36 tackles and 1 interception.

7. Manny Wright – Quit team because he didn’t like the fact he fell to #3 on the depth chart. Amazingly will be given another shot this year to make team.

6. Dan Wilkinson – Was expecting more from Big Daddy. 14 Tackles and 1 forced fumble. Showed no heart!

5. Travis Tillman - Gave up plays, but didn’t make many. 42 tackles and 3 passes defensed is all his stat line reads.

4. Jason Allen – Disappointing rookie season. How much did holdout hurt his play last year? Finished the year with 13 tackles, 1 interception, and 2 passes defensed.

3. Bennie “air†Anderson – Still have belly laughs thinking back to when he was isolated in slow motion in a preseason game and he missed the DT in front of him by at least two feet.

2. Chris Chambers – Could easily make a case that he was the worst Dolphin last year. Perhaps had the worst year a #1 WR has EVER had in the NFL. Would have been overpaid if he was paid $7, let alone $7 million. 59 receptions for 677 yards and 4 TDs while being targeted 159 times is just “shameful.†That all 3 of our starting QBs struggled when throwing to Chambers last year clearly illustrates the common denominator.

1. Daunte Culpepper – Harsh? NO! Earned it…team’s identity was built around him last year. Even the Dolphin players believed him to be the savior. The REALITY…2 TD passes, 1 TD rushing, 3 interceptions, 21 sacks, 3 fumbles for the price of a 2nd round draft pick and $8 million which team is still responsible for $5.6 million to be counted against the cap.

That is my list. What is yours? Who deserves dishonorable mention not on the list?

Still don't see how a guy who played in what 4 games was the worst player for us last year. How about the guys on the offensive line who played in over 10 more games that were mediocre all year long like Shelton.

And whatever your opinion on the ancient Joey vs. Daunte debate, you can't say that Joey had a good year. More INTs than TDs. A low completion % and YPA. In what league is that good?

I wouldn't have Jason Allen that high. Same as with Culpepper. When you only play in a limited amount of games, how can you be worse than guys who played in more games?

I'm not trying to make a big deal out of any of this. Just disagreeing with you a bit on how we make our decisions.

If you include Daunte in that list you have to include Joey Harrington also. Nick Saban also. But let's not forget...the thread starter is a known Culpepper hater...

I hate the play not the player! Perhaps you didn't watch the games or see the statistics.

I would agree with those though in different order.

10. Jeno James
9. Travis Daniels
8. Randy McMichael
7. Dan Wilkinson - I had a lot of expectations for him and he really let me down with his laziness.
6. Manny Wright
5. Chris Chambers
4. Michael Lehan - Why in the world did we re-sign him? Was Reggie Howard off the market?
3. Jason Allen
2. Daunte Culpepper
1. Bennie Anderson

I would agree that the OL was not so good and a couple of them made the list. However, the team's identity was built around Culpepper last year and he was an absolute train wreck when he played. The worst QB play I have ever seen in a Dolphin uniform and I have been following them over 30 years.

As for Harrington, I thought he did his job as a #2 as the offense responded right away by scoring more points and having more yards against better defenses. He was a definite upgrade over Culpepper. I know we have argued this before but Harrington's main problem was having #84 as his top option. When he threw to everyone not wearing #84 he did ok. Culpepper and Lemon suffered the same fate when throwing to Chambers which is why he is #2 on the list but could have easily been #1.

That's all legit. I think we just disagree on the level of effect at which certain things happened (if that makes any sense).
