In order of 10th worst to the worst...
10. Jeno James – Could have put several other OL here at # 10, but considering his contract he receives the honor.
9. Randy McMichael – Was 2nd on team with 62 catches for 640 yards and 3 TDs. But drops, lack of focus/effort and poor blocking lands him at #9.
8. Travis Daniels – Injuries contributed to him making the list. Only 36 tackles and 1 interception.
7. Manny Wright – Quit team because he didn’t like the fact he fell to #3 on the depth chart. Amazingly will be given another shot this year to make team.
6. Dan Wilkinson – Was expecting more from Big Daddy. 14 Tackles and 1 forced fumble. Showed no heart!
5. Travis Tillman - Gave up plays, but didn’t make many. 42 tackles and 3 passes defensed is all his stat line reads.
4. Jason Allen – Disappointing rookie season. How much did holdout hurt his play last year? Finished the year with 13 tackles, 1 interception, and 2 passes defensed.
3. Bennie “air†Anderson – Still have belly laughs thinking back to when he was isolated in slow motion in a preseason game and he missed the DT in front of him by at least two feet.
2. Chris Chambers – Could easily make a case that he was the worst Dolphin last year. Perhaps had the worst year a #1 WR has EVER had in the NFL. Would have been overpaid if he was paid $7, let alone $7 million. 59 receptions for 677 yards and 4 TDs while being targeted 159 times is just “shameful.†That all 3 of our starting QBs struggled when throwing to Chambers last year clearly illustrates the common denominator.
1. Daunte Culpepper – Harsh? NO! Earned it…team’s identity was built around him last year. Even the Dolphin players believed him to be the savior. The REALITY…2 TD passes, 1 TD rushing, 3 interceptions, 21 sacks, 3 fumbles for the price of a 2nd round draft pick and $8 million which team is still responsible for $5.6 million to be counted against the cap.
That is my list. What is yours? Who deserves dishonorable mention not on the list?
