Trubisky in the first quarter of games, when he can operate off a script that's been prepared all week is 15-for-18, averaging 8.78 yards per attempt, with a TD, no picks and a rating of 121.8. That rating drops to 25.8 n the second quarter and, overall, outside the first quarter, Trubisky is 33-for-51 for 213 yards (4.18 yards per attempt) with 1 TD and 2 INTS for a rating of 63.6. Lot of work to be done there.

So, I thought this note was curious: I know the Bears game is three games off, and it's a small sample size so far, but I thought it was worth posting because the Bears game is part of that dreaded three game rough patch coming up.

The big issue I've seen with Trubisky is that his footwork is atrocious and he just sails the football all over the place. He's especially bad when he's off his spot.

We have two games back to back against quarterbacks who don't do very well (albeit with Trubisky we have a smaller sample size to work with) when they're forced to maneuver a muddied pocket or throw on the run. The key in that Bengals game is going to be Robert Quinn, Andre Branch, Charles Harris, Cam Wake, Davon Godchaux, Akeem Spence, Will Hayes, Jordan Phillips, and Vincent Taylor. Andy Dalton doesn't have a ton of arm talent and -- in my estimation -- is lacking in core body strength. When you get him off time and force him to start moving his feet around, you get interceptable footballs.

With Trubisky I think it's mostly inexperience, but I saw that from him in particular in the Packers game.
