I know that I am guilty of ranting just after the second interception last night which sealed the game for Pittsburgh. I said that I had just watched a game from years past, and said that my Sundays are now free, etc. Whatever the hell I said, it was while my blood pressure was causing me not to be able to see straight, my eyes hurt from bulging out of my head and it was a purely reactionary response. And I think if you look at the the times of many of the most negative posts you will see they fall around that same time.
Having slept it off, though falling asleep proved difficult, and awakened to a new day I realize that the Dolphins DID do some different things. Things we have not seen in awhile. Wes Welker is a solid return man and while he is not new this year, his energy seems so. And I will acknowledge that even though Daunte did throw two picks late, his early reads and quick delivery and scrambling ability is something to behold.
Our secondary needs time to gel, I guess. That no call which lead to the punting situation for Pitt is what set us up for the touchdown, so we had some luck there. And Chambers missed an easy grab in the end zone in the second half which would have put us up by 10. But Daunte got it to him beautifully, reminiscent of his glory days with Moss.
So my apologies for being so negative. Just like drunk dialing, angry typing should be avoided. It's just the passion that burns in me. I care so much it hurts, as most of you can understand I'm sure.
