I was at the Bucs game today and tried to pay attention to the whole field. I'm just going to give some of my observations which were live from the game. As a side note, I do think everybody needs to calm down. We were supposed to royally suck this year and we're doing more than hold our own. We are actually still in the AFC race and each team has looked horrendous at some point this year.

1) I think Linehan is actually part of the problem. His play calling is all over the place and gives no rythym whatsoever. Nobody can get into the flow of the game, especially the RB's. There should have been a ton more runs in that game with Ricky and Ronnie in there, very dissappointing. (even the bucs fans commented on the play calling). This guy is not all he is cracked up to be.

2) Frerotte. I don't really know if we have a better option, but it's obvious we're starting a 2nd string QB when you watch the entire game. Except for about 3 passes, the rest were behind his recievers, overthrown or god knows where he was looking. He tends to pat the ball and lock in quite a bit, and misses alot of other open recievers. (again, also noted by Bucs fans). He overthrew more than one deep reciever for a TD and threw behind quite a few that would have resulted in a 1st down. He didn't even see Welker on a bunch of throws and totally missed Marty down the side line. I think it's time to give Rosenfels a shot. What's the worst that could happen? At least we'll know if we need to resign him and drafta QB in a later round. But since Frerotte is Linehan's boy, I don't think it'll happen.

3) Penalties, Penalties, Penalties. And always at the worst time. But I will say the refs are calling way too much.

4) Defense still doesn't quite grasp the system (at least I hope that's what it is). Not always in position. Some unlucky breaks, the other team always seems to capitilize on our mistakes (slipped DB's etc.) And it always results in a big play. Our misses on tackles always make a big play for the other offense. I think they will continue to improve. I read in another thread that we should draft a CB. That's assinine IMO. We have Madison (who may have a couple mor years), Kiwaukee Thomas, Travis Daniels, Eddie Jackson, Will Poole, and Shirdonya Mitchell. They all are young and have great potential. Let's not forget, technically we are in a rebuilding year.

5) Looks like Linehan has his pets and plays them more. A lot of substitutions and I don't think anyone is able to get into the feel of the game.

6) I never thought I would say this after Wanny but ........ Please Please run the ball.

7) The bucs consitently attacked the corner who played off the line and didn't jam.

8) Wes Welker is the man. He is constantly going 100mph. Unbelievable the yards he gets and he was literally open on every play except one.

9) Even Bucs fans asked why Ricky and Ronnie were not played in a pro set or I form and of course (not to beat a dead horse but why not run the ball more).

Sorry for the long threads but those were my general observations. If anyone has any questions or insights please let me know. Again, this is just what I saw Live and in person and most was validated by surrounding Bucs fans.
