Today was the near pick 6 to Polamalu in the first quarter. He didn't learn from that one since Troy picked him on a similar play later on. Last week was a near pick 6 in the first quarter too. It seems like he usually has at least one of these and proceeds to play a solid game. Just a dangerous trend I noticed.

edit: I don't see why I'd get bashed for posting this. It's just something I noticed. I would like to think this thread is different than a sensationalist Tannehill bashing post. I support Tannehill and think he's awesome. The observation is just as much positive as it shows he bounces back from adversity well.

I don't see a trend, hall of famer and a second year QB. He rebounded well and that's the true essence of a leader and winner.

yeah but we still almost won the game...

Our offense is predictable. Guys are jumping the routes because they see 'em on film. They comment on it after the game every time.

When you run a short passing game players are going to eventually jump on the routes. That is why we need to test double moves and deep passes often to keep defenses honest. Early on I blamed the lack of double moves and deep passes on the o-line, however I believe we need to do it more often now that the line is protecting a tad better.

1. Obvious passing down after the botched 1st down + penalty.
2. Polumalu made one hell of a play. Initially I thought wtf was he throwing at but when the camera was back Polumalu ran across the entire field to jump that. It was pretty awesome.
3. Tannehill bounced right back.

yeah but they get burned too.

steelers said they were worried about Clay, but then they double Wallace leaving clay all alone.

I believe troy jumped routes because of the weather and footing keeping WR's slower. This is what he does. But then the rest of the game where was he?

RT just made a bad decision there because Lamar Miller became wide open just sitting in the LB hole.

Troy read Tannehill perfectly and had the speed to close. Bad on Tanny but not a terrible throw. Really, really good play for Polamalu

All in all our offense doesn't seem like its too predictable. We went against a Dick LeBeau Defense today and if we were predictable we wouldnt have scored our highest points of a game today in horrible conditions.

Our offense gets predictable whenever we get the lead it seems like. We need to keep the playbook open. Go for the kills. Continue moving the line and such.

OP have you ever noticed that almost every QB in the nfl in most games throws a really horrible or ill-advised pass? No??????? I didn't think so.
