I made a thread about this weeks ago about getting Gresham from OU...Yesterday and this whole year i don't know what's happened to Fasano. And then i'm sure you all saw that stat about what TE's have done to us this year ie. d.clark, a.gates, t. gonz. and now shockey....side notes, I tried not dogging Ginn this whole time but he is losing any kind of faith for us and Wilson had my hopes up in the first half ystrday but then back to terrible play in the 2nd...shockeys jersey should say "Gibril's Daddy"

Yes, I do. I wouldn't mind getting Gresham in rd 1, but for me it's the same old story: WR. Bryant/Benn/maybe Lafell. I like Williams out of USC but I want that big, fast imposing target. Benn has the potential and Bryant is a proven commodity. I also like LB Mcclain from Alabama- Spikes yes but rd 2.

Depends on what's available.

If there is a stud LB or NT available. We're going to get him. I still don't think we will draft a WR in the high rounds. I'm pretty confident that the FO is done with "Wide Receiver Projects." We're just man up and pay somebody in FA.

I dont think we should go after Greshem. He is out for the season with a leg injury. We have enough players with leg injurys now, we dont need someone elses medical bills

Yes, I still doubt drafting TE #1. I would rather draft: FS, ILB, WR, CB, or OLB before drafting a TE in the 1st.

Arilious Benn would be my #1 pick. Anyone seen him play? He is damn near unstopable

I have been waiting for more feedback and discussion on Benn. The talent is there, but with that Illinois passing offense sucking as it does it's hard to get a good read on him. He has the size, speed, strength physical presence, hands- all of that good stuff. But it doesn't tell the whole story, I need to see more. His stats blow this year- I want to see him step up if his crappy offense will allow for it.

here is what i would do , and I know that others may not like this but if it were me I would trade 1 1st and 4th and throw ginn, bess, and roth to Arizona forBoldin and then i would draft all defense and then bring in a whol bus load of undrafted rookies at linebacker and safety.

or I would bring back Chambers and one more f/a wr and then cut bess and ginn.

One way or another, we need weapons for this offense. The Trio made a huge mistake by going into 2009 with Miss Ginn as our "#1" WR.

Whether it's Dez Bryant or Arrelious Benn in the 1st round and a TE in round 2 or something like that with possible a defensive player mixed in (maybe Terrence Cody in round 1?) but one way or another, we need weapons.

Our OL is awsome but ya gotta have some downfield threats.

Note: What if we franchise tag-n-trade Ronnie for a premier WR and/or TE? That's another possibility. I don't see the Trio giving Ronnie the long term max deal he'll want - just too risky for a RB going into his 30s (see Ladanian Tomlinson).

Trading Ronnie to KC for Bowe could be a nice offseason move freeing us up to go NT, S, LB, TE and RB in the 2010 draft.

considering Grisham may go for a medical redshirt and hasn't played all year I can't justify taking him in the first. We have to sure up safety and LB play, not just ILB but OLB as well.

TE is not our issue. Sure Fasano is playing poorly, but he's not the reason why we are struggling in the pass game. We need to go out and trade for WRs and TEs or make some free agent pickups in the offseason. It's time that this Dolphins front office realizes that our passing game issues are a personnel problem and not a strategy/usage problem.

Go out there and get yourself a quality, number one receiver. That will let Bess, Hartline and Camarillo all fall into place. Ginn is obviously not a dependable receiver on this team, but he can still be useful as a kick returner and occasional receiver, like Devin Hester in Chicago.

But to get back to the point of this post. Drafting a number one TE is not really worth it. We have Haynos and Nalbone still waiting to be proven, plus there are other areas to address (i.e. defense).

C'mon dude, we missed our window with Boldin. He is almost 30 now and has quite an injury history. He was a great baller who plays with exceptional heart but he's just too old now (think TO in BUF with less mouth).

Either we tag-n-trade Ronnie to KC for Dwayne Bowe or we look to the draft for Dez Bryant or Arrelious Benn.

Trading your most prolific scoring player for a good WR defeats its purpose. You lose the running game and the Wildcat personnel and add a pass threat. Now you have a one-sided offense (pass focused). Not really logical.

No way we take a TE in the first. Our TE's suck in the passing game, but there are other positions that would upgrade the team immediately and more significantly.

I am not an Ilini fan but have watched all but one game of theres because of him. "Juice" Williams is a joke. Benn does not have a QB that can get him the ball! If he were playing for Florida, Texas, Penn State you would see those numbers soar. If you get the chance look up highlight films of him. Would LOVE to see him in Miami. Immediate impact!!!!!
