Alright I know it's early but I just thought of something. I know this comparison has been presented but it might just happen, well not exactly but similar.
Could Gus Frerotte be our Rich Gannon? Not like the exact player I think Gannon was a little more mobile but Frerotte might be able to throw a little farther. What I mean is a veteren who doesn't make too many mistakes, finds the open receiver, and seems to consistantly move the chains (so far) and plays 2-3 years for us while we find a project guy ready to take over after Frerrotes 2nd or 3rd year in Miami.
What it really comes down to is our O-line needs to play very well, and of course there are going to be games where we get beat at the line and lose because of it, but I think we have enough talent at the skill positions especially when Ricky comes back to be very competitive all year.
