Now is not the time to test a Jacksonville 2ndary that despite being banged up is still very formiddable.

Now is not the time to get contrarian and try to win a game differently than we've won against any of the good teams we've played this season.

Now is not the time to determine whether JH's accuracy against Minnesota and Detroit were a biproduct of a fundamental shift in Joey's ability or simply the effect of playing one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL, Minnesota, and arguably one of the worst if not the worst pass defense in the history of the NFL, Detroit.

JP is a better qb with one of the hottest receivers in the leauge and Buffalo didn't get pass happy. They maintained a well balanced offense, only turned the ball over once and got a timely punt return from their special teams. They tried to control the ball and not make mistakes that would give Jacksonville short field opportunities to score.

I have to believe our Defense can limit Jacksonville to fg's at best and give us the opportunity to score on a short field at least once or twice during the game. They won't fold against the run like Buffalo has been prone to do all season. I have to believe that JH will be far more effective focusing on his strengths, short tight passes with little room for error. I have to believe that our running game without Ronnie should be every bit as effective if not more effective than Buffalos was with a far from healthy McGahee.

Let's win this game like we've won every other tough game we've played this season. Let's do it with the defense. They are well rested and definitely up to the task and can handle the responsibility of winning the game for us.

Don't really care how we win, as long as we win

Really? JP better than Harrington? I don't know about that. What does everyone else think?

They are about equally as bad...but JP has a better deep ball, which we do need

DC is way better than both of them

I even like Cleo better than both of them

Actually, if we want to continue winning...yes it is!

If they dont get Joey to start throwing downfield to chambers "now", then we have no chance to keep up with the Pats or Indy. Simple as that! "Good job, Chambers...I forgot you had a voice!"

JP has a legit #1 reciever who adjusts and fights for the ball !!!!!!!!!

I disagree to a point....we cannot count on our defense to WIN the game. We can count on the defense to do their job (which is give us as short a field as possible), which they have been doing very well lately. Our offense, however, has to capitilize on the short field, running whatever offense is necessary. I'm not saying we have to go deep all day, but I'm also not saying that we have to throw short all day. We need to do what works, and limit turnovers. I think our offense can play well enough to take some pressure off of the defense.

Chambers drops too many passes. He makes some spectacular catches but drops too many. Not a legit #1 reciever in the NFL.

How can you still keep going to a reciever who CONSISTENTLY drops 1-2 passes early in every game. Always these are very easy to catch thows. Then usually late in the game he will make ONE spetacular catch. I would much prefer that CC catch ALL the easy ones and miss on the difficult one.
We would probably have many more points early in the game if it went this way.

JP had a pretty typical season for his first full year. It was identical to Harringtons except JP managed to match his int's with tds, Harrington threw 4 more picks than ints.

But, JP has dramatically improved this year. Exactly what you'd expect out of a guy starting his second season. Something Joey never realized when he was in Detroit.

Right now, JP is better, guess time will tell in the long run. But the point is, JP has played quite a bit better than JH so far this season and Buffalo beat Jacksonville without expecting JP to make plays to beat them.

Not sure what you are disagreeing with. If the Defense blanks the Jags, which they certainly have the ability to do and puts us in position to kick one fg, we win because of them. We've won almost all of our games because of them. Any offense in the league can score in the red zone. Kicking a 30 yard fg is well within the range of any offense, even most college offenses. So, that's what we ask of the D. The pressure is on them, needs to be on them and should be on them. They will determine whether we win or lose THIS game.

As I said in previous posts. Seeing what Cleo or some other qb had would have been a good idea against one of the worst teams in the league. Doing it now would be pointless. Joey should be ridden out the rest of the season. Do I think he and our offense have enough to beat the Jets, Pats and Indy?
Certainly not, unless they become something haven't been both personally and as a team. But the secondaries of the Jets, Pats (injuries) and Indy aren't as good as the Jags. So we should have more opportunities in those games to go down the field and we should take those opportunities (force some if need be) in those games.
