Since it is possible that Culpepper won't be ready till September or maybe even October, I guess this means that Gus is still going to be on the Roster, So much for having the extra cap space to work with.

I agree we need a good veteran backup now that we have DC. I think Gus should restructure though...

If Gus doesn't restructure he will be gone..... We have other needs

does any body know when hes expected to be healty? plus dosent gus have a 7 million cap figure which is way to much. he needs to restructure bad. so we can finally sign some quality FA's

Don't think it will be a problem considering Duante has already stated he'd restruture his 2006 deal (2 million salary, 6 million bonus) to get under Miami's 2006 cap. Over his 8 year contract, 8 million could be spread out for a million a year. Duante for 1.545 cap hit ($545,000 minimum salary + 1 million spread out) shouldn't hurt us big even if Gus doesn't restructure by a big amount.

I don't know what they will do with him but I do hope they keep him. Whether you guys like him or not, I think he did alright. He stepped up from a back-up that hardly ever saw playing time to a decent starting QB. He led us to a decent record, and after a while working with him, he led us to 6 straight wins in our last 6 games, knocking off San Diego, and New England.

Ideally Gus restructures and stays as a backup. Because Gus backed up DC in Minny, I`m sure they are comfortable with each other.
