I don't see Pioli leaving the Pats unless he gets a GM position with total control.

Even though he is VP of Operations, Belichick still has final say on all personnel moves.

None of the candidates from the "GM" interviews will be considered for the new opening. And frankly, from what I've read, none of them would be willing to interview it from the way that Huizenga used them back then...and especially with the way the position has been constructed.
