Now that Ronnie Brown has joined his team, will there be fewer distractions? Now that all the key players are on board, will this allow the offence to start to gel? With both of these guys in the backfield, won’t this make the QB’s life a little easier? Even the O line should feel good about having so much talent running behind them.

hahah yea seriously with thouse 2 RB's any o-line will look like Pro Bowl Material !
when it comes to runnin the ball

Passin on the other hand... ehhh iv seen improvment lets just hope they can keep that up for the Steelers if not its going to be a long game for GUS:lol:

Well, Ricky will still be gone for the first 5 weeks of the season (4 games and a bye). And when he comes back, the media circus will start again.

yea i agree with the injuries thing if Willis goes down in Buffalo ... well then thats it for there runnin game

by the way i was curious does anyone know what Jerome Bettis runs in a 40?
Just curious i love this guy he is a tank dont get me wrong i hope he plays like **** against us but he is halarious.

Good post 17-0.

With Ronnie here finally, it will take some of the pressure off of the QBs but come regular season, it will not take that much pressure off because Ricky will be out four games. Given that Ronnie has studied the playbook, we should be in decent shape as far as running plays go the rest of the Preseason and start of the regular goes.

My main concern is that RBs usually can move around their o-line and what they do(ex: Ricky last saturday with breaking out of some areas that shouldn't be broken out of) and Ronnie has yet to really play with the O-Line 1st string and won't be able to get the movement of the o-line play and how they do it down right away and that can cause some extra pressure on our QB to get us in short yard situations.

i think in game 1 our passing was much better then our running and in game to it was still a little better, not by much but a little better, but i think it will gradually come above our passing

I think this will be the last week of any major movements. After this preseason game, we may start having our first string playing together and so on.

It may not be until the middle of the season that the Ricky and Ronnie show gels together. Gotta have patience.

There will almost always be the Ricky distraction...at least until after he returns from his suspension...the next big thing will be IF there is a QB controversy...if Saban chooses Frerotte, which the indications are, then every int or bad game he has will fire up those of us that are AJ fans...but what would the season be without controversy ??

Settling on Gus as a starter(and solidifying the other spots) will help also, as now the starters can all start getting most of the reps together and really get used to playing as a team instead of a bunch of individuals vying for roster spots.
