25) Vontae Davis- IMO a very good pick i know he has knock on him but every player does. Played on a bad team last year so may have hurt himself by not playing hard for them. But when he played on a good team he was a lock down guy. Great athlete and will be a lock down guy sooner than later and will be on the field fast

44) Pat White- (*&^%^*$&^$&*%$ was my first reaction like most of you. BUT the i looked at it like an objective football fan. This guy is a TREMENDOUS athlete and though has little experience with some things he can play punt returner kick returner and has great field vision. Can Qb in wildcat and can run a few plays at QB if need be....WR and rb i think he is more versatile than Percey Harvin THATS RIGHT I SAID IT.......but prob the most vesicle guy in the draft and will pay dividends very quickly this guy should have his own chapter in the playbook

61) Sean Smith- Again tremendous athlete BIG fast and while i think still raw as a DB great instincts and skills. Again versatile safety and Corner which makes us DEEP...we have guys that can play several spots and play them well.

87) Patrick Turner- Some hated the pick i love it. if you hate it you must love kiper and mcshay and the espn homers go ask a real football guy about this kid.. Tremendous athlete big body great hands knows how to use it to his advantage runs great routes not the fastest but you dont need to be the fastest if you catch everything in reach of you. GO WATCH THE SANCHEZ HIGHLIGHTS YOU WILL SEE ALOT OF #1 CATCHING PASSES.

108) Brian Hartline- Again very versatile player can return kicks and punts be 4th receiver and let us spread people out will go over the middle and make catches in traffic. If you mention numbers STOP IT pryor was has Qb which was one look and run as a freshman. He is a very productive guy runs great routes needs to get stronger but i dont see that being a problem.

161) Johnathan Nalbone- possesses adequate size and top-end speed for the position, however he is going to be a developmental project at this point. He needs to develop in terms of strength at the point of attack as an inline blocker as well as an overall route-runner. Project guy but could learn from two pretty good ones this year. I have herd alot of people wanted him he is a big and tremendous athlete could be a TE/WR guy if he can hone his skills.

165) Chris Clemons- Clemons is an instinctive quick-twitched safety that displays elite closing burst. However, he needs to improve as a playmaker and take better angles to the ball. Special teams guy as of right now can be a back up and help with some dime situations although i think that will be left to Smith and Davis this year. Will make an impact on special teams and maybe be able to take some snaps in the defensive backfield.

181) Andrew Gradner- Gardner is a relentless blocker who possesses just adequate overall strength. However, he has excellent upside in terms of agility and athleticism. He will need some development in terms of footwork. I dont know where is is destined for but just has a Dolphins ruthless mentality if he can bulk up and get stronger maybe he can be a rotational guy. They found Donald Thomas around this time last year so who knows.

214) JD Folsom- Folsom is an undersized OLB who is going to need to add bulk to be a more effective run defender. However, he does have upside in terms of his overall instincts as well as long range. other than that i dont know much about him sounds like a tough guy willing to work hard. I hope he can make the PS at least.

Overall i say a GREAT draft filled needs and got some tremendous talent. We fixed our secondary and got some very talented Wr's WHO CAN CATCH AND HOLD ONTO THE BALL. The FO doesnt think that the O-line and LB depth was all that bad so thats a good sign people must be showing something in the off season workouts.

WAY TO GO TRIFECTA......what are you thoughts?

I feel a good overall draft for the fins, still not completely sold on the Pat White pick but I'm warming up to it. Overall I give it a B, Would have loved to see Daris Butler fall to us but NE grabbed him a few picks earlier. I believe you will see the rest of the filling out in the Undrafted free agents we will pick up, I expect them to sign around 3-4 What positions they go for I'm not sure , but they could add some depth on the Dline and Oline.

Very average draft IMHO. Some reaches, White was drafted too early, did not get the LBs we needed for depth. B- draft.

I'm still going with a "B" I think we hit our biggest weakness real hard (secondary) I think management feels we are better at other positions, and have more depth at other positions then most others must think. Regarding the Pat White pick. If we didnt grab him there, someone else would have taken him in the 2nd. I am very intrigued with that pick and am looking forward to seeing how we use him in the wildcat.

I dont think Bill likes drafting LB unless he believes they will make an impact immediately....he prob didnt see that this year and for those whining about Sintim you know Groh is on BP's speed dial and got a great evaluation of him so SHHHHH........and there will be cuts and Bill will get a LB or two with a trade now that we are stacked at certian positions or when cuts are made in July (i think) and just watch with our new offensive weapons and our reformed secondary and all the young guys from last year having another year of experience in the system and as a unit will pay huge dividends.

b+. loved the pat white pick but wouldve been nice to get a NT or a pass rusher.

If we took Barwin with the 2(44th) pick I'd be pretty satisfied, but now I have to wait and see if White can do anything at the next level to really hold a true judgement.

it is a solid B.
we got 2 db's who can come in and play as rookies.
Pat White is going to PLAY as a rookie.
and thats what you want from the draft is players who can come in and play right away

I'm can only evaluate this draft based on how well it addressed the issues of this team. I think the Dolphins did a GREAT job in fixing the holes this secondary has had in it for several seasons. Sean Smith and Vontae Davis give us two young corners with size. Now we wont have midget scrubs trying to triple team players like Randy Moss and Terrell Owens. Smith also gives us versatility, as he can play both safety and corner, you have to love that. Combine that with the fact that we already signed Gibril Wilson and re-signed Yeremiah Bell and you have an instant improvement.

I do not think we did a good job of addressing this teams issues on the defensive line. If you watched the Dolphins defense make Tyler Thigpen, Seneca Wallace and Sean Hill look like Hall of Famer's last year you will see what i mean. This team simply couldn't create any pressure on those guys, unless they blitzed everyone. That obviously left our secondary exposed and caused us a lot of headaches. What we needed was a big d-linemen who could knock people over and create some pressure, or another speed linebacker who could burst through the gap and create pressure. Poor job addressing those needs here.

Our WR's are average, we added some more. We'll see how they turn out, but i'm doubting we'll get one on of a top tier quality here.

B-plus, I LOVE the idea of tackling the corner issue head-on and I am intrigued by Pat White. I also think Brian Hartline has a chance to be sneaky good.

the highest i'll grade it initially is a C+.

i don't think we really filled any needs besides corner. we still need a nose tackle and a playmaker at ILB. without those 2 positons, teams can run all over us, as those are the 2 most important positions at stopping the run.

i hate the pat white pick. the only way i can see him even fitting in is in the wildcat. and still, i don't think he'll be very good there. he isn't big or strong. yeah, we can run more pass plays out of it, but the only way i can see us running it is with a running back in there.

i don't think we needed any wideouts. sure, it's great to get a tall guy in there, but he really wasn't needed. we have a fantastic WR corps as is.

then i really don't think we needed anybody at safety. now we have some depth there, but we still have holes that could've been filled with those 2 picks.
