Disclosure: I just want to say this is strictly opinion, I have no proof beyond circumstantial.
Joe's going. I've been a diehard dolphin fan since 1970 and have supported each and every HC they've hired during this time. Soprano and especially Philbin, I steadfastly defended them even when it was apparent they didn't deserve it. Well it was plain to me a change had to be made and I'm glad the deed was done.
But looking back at the past four weeks in reading a lot of the information that came to light in the past few days I strongly believe we experienced a de facto coup de taut. I really hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so. Let's look at some of the evidence. From day one the entire defense look like they never played the game before. One sack by a nonstarter. Cornerbacks constantly giving up 7 yards before making any contact. Almost nobody capable of completing an initial tackle. Two roughing the punter calls in three games, which conveniently Scoring drives together. Circumstantial? Yes most definitely, but quite hard to ignore. Hernandez is looking at life in prison for about the same case.
Now, if some you think this is fine, that the ends justify the means, let me argue against that. Even if it was only a few key players that decided to do this, those players for the rest of their careers will be surrounded by a "taint" that will never be washed off. It's called the karma wheel. If you think this team has been cursed before you ain't seen nothing yet.
