He knew how bad their overhaul line would be with Seth starting at center. He was going to receive a pounding!

Lamar Gordon and Leonard Henry will now serve in Ricky place as crash dummies because that what they are being use for.

This in no way excuses what Ricky did (particularly the manner in which he did it), but I agree that it does definitely help give a context to those reports that he didn't want to end up like his buddy Campbell and that he consulted with Robert Smith about injury.

Ricky bailed. Any loser can do that.

In no way I sympathize Ricky action but now have better understanding of what he did.He wants to able to walk by the time he reaches the age of 35.

i understand why Ricky bailed, just do not like it tho. See, alot of this comes back on Wannstedt in that when he traded for Ricky, Ricky was happy to be coming to Miami, another legit contender, etc. He also saw how wannstedt didn't do a damn thing for him either, ie, not shoring up the OL to block for him. Wannstedt "talked" about it but did nothing actually, only the bargain basement run of the mill backup types that you can pick up cheap at the salvation army !! Wannstedt ran Ricky nearly into the ground and basically for nothing. Then he sees what we did for him this past off season and saw how they worked during the mini camps, etc. and said F it and bailed. Like i said, i don't like what Ricky did but i can understand why.

Screw Ricky!

He was getting paid alot of money in any event. Even if you disagree with your coaches and the offensive scheme, be a man and live up to your committments and don't let your team mates down.

It is true that this team would not be much better with Ricky, but you have to play with your team no matter what. Ricky is a quitter. He has let down his team, fans, and probably his family. What kind of person leaves their kids to go on a world pot tour! Enough about that head case.

The Wanny coaching issue will surely be addressed this off season. H. Wayne will have to protect his franchise value. A shrewd business man like him will realize that keeping Wanny on with such a great fan outcry damages the teams value. $$$$$ always wins!

Ricky just didn't want to play football. Peter King's column this week mentions that as easy as it would be for Ricky to avoid paying the $8.6 mil back by playing football again, a source close to him says his head's just not in the game right now.

So don't blame it on the team.

Ricky is a quitter. plain and simple there is no excuse for his leaving the team the way he did. What kind of player gripes about getting the ball too much

Being in pain while you are high makes for a BAD TRIP. :redeye:

If Ricky was here, this line would be playing with 100 times more confidence. Not that we have stars, but there pretty much going through the motions right now. At least if Ricky was here, they would know they have something to block for.

He left b/c he wanted to smoke pot and travel around without any responsibilities. That's it.

If Ricky didn't like the situation but wanted to play football he would have demanded a trade and hold out if he didn't get one. Ricky isn't playing football right now because he doesn't want to.

The response to that is Ricky tried the trade route once and we have seen the results. He was constantly hurt with the Saints, and we pounded him into the ground. Why should he think that things would be so different with another team?

I remember Ricky stating, "the RB makes the Oline, The Oline doesn't make the RB"

Maybe that was a sign that he was a pothead

I hate going to school but you dont see me quitting because im tired of it.. At least he made millions from football where as I get nothing..

Nothing justifies what he did, if he was upset he was gonna get pounded.. too fn bad, your a running back on a professional football team.. What do you expect? Your not always gonna have an all pro line in front of you.. What he did was selfish and inexcusable..
