I am sure there have been many others who have already pointed this out, but........ Can it be true?? The defensive minded, conservative dolphins, coming off a 4-12 season, with a new offesive system, a new QB, and voted around the league to be one of the worst offensive teams around the league, can they really have put up better numbers than anyone in the league?? They must have been playing the Raiders with the "lets spend all our money on defense" philosophy, right?? Nope, they were playing a top 5 defense from a year ago, with some upgrades in the depth department. Did Danny enjoy throwing that ball to Clayton so much at the Hall that he decided to come back for one last game?? Nope, this team was QBed by the guy that about half the posted here thought was a washed up has been, some even thought, a never was.
Gus is not the longterm answer but he can take this team into this season and maybe teach a younger understudy another year after this year.
I am not predicting a SB run or even a playoff run from one win at home, but like I have said before, this league is about coaching more than it is superstar players. The Pats have proved this and now we have a coach that can put us into the running. What a difference a year makes.
