Ok who do we pick using our number one pick in the draft. Has Miami ever had a overall number one pic? Just for the record Wanny has to go!!!!

Nope, never had the 1st pick. Well, I think right now the top pick has to be between a RB, QB, OL or even a DT. However, things will change between the time Free Agency starts and the Draft. If Edge comes then we can scratch RB off the 1st round pcik list. If a QB steps up in college and really impresses I think we should take a stab at drafting a Franchise QB.
 
I want a franchise QB in the first round. Sign the best LT available and pick up a servicable RG in FA. Maybe a C too- I haven't been at all thrilled with McKinney. Trade Ricky for a 1st or a 2nd (if a team will even make a trade for Ricky) and draft a RB.
 
I still think we'll go 6-10 or 7-9. It would be nice to pick up some offensive linemen and a DT in free agency, and pick up Benson in the draft.

However, if we wind up with the #1 pick...obviously you go for the franchise QB.
 
If the Fins at the first pick overall, you could make a legitimate argument foe "best player". However, the reason Miami had the #1 pick would require much more than 1 player to fix. Trade down out of that pick.

please wipe the words DT off that list...unless wanny is still around...then keep it there...seriously, could you imagine if we chose another defensive player as our first pick in the draft...
 
I'm not a great gator fan or anything, but I say we talk Leak to going for the draft. Cuz he's looking good

Oh, absolutely. If we had the first overall, I would trade down for a 1st and a 2nd and a 1st next year.
 
Leak is a sophomore, leinhart looks good too and get Frank Gore!!!
I have not seen a quarterback in college this year that is worth a #1

Considering we traded a 2nd for Feeley and one of our 1sts for Gordon, it would definately be wise to move down and pick up some extra picks. I'd even look into moving out of the top 5.
 
We need a good quality QB, and running back and get a new line with FA. First of all we need a new head coach.
 
I only mentioned the whole Leak thing (even though he is a sophmore), because I watched him play, and was thinking the whole time, damn we need a guy with a good arm who is mobile. Which is primarily the reason Fiedler does better than Feeley. It's not so much Fiedler is better, but he's mobile or at least a heck of a lot more mobile than everyone else we've brought in.... woops sorry for the tangent. Yeah but maybe in a few years we could get leak.

ps I'm not a big college football watcher, so I don't know who Leinhart is sorry
