Just to mess with our "lose now crowd". :laugh

The NY Giants ended their 2010/2011 campaign at 10-6 and missed the playoffs. The following year the Giants struggled mightily and at the same point of the season (game 13) of the 2011/2012 campaign they sat with a 7-6 record and just having ended a 4-game losing streak. Game 14 was a loss and put them at 7-7.
We finished last year also at 10-6 and are currently 6-7. A win in Buffalo will give us also a 7-7 record.

If we beat the Bills we have to win our last two games - just like the Giants back in 2011/2012 - to get to 9-7 and possibly make the playoffs. And just like we face the Bills twice and have to end their playoff hopes in the last 3 weeks the Giants faced their division rivals Cowboys twice in the last 4 weeks to end the Cowboys playoff hopes in order to go to the playoffs themselves.

A 9-7 record is mediocre at best so the "lose now crowd" rather loses out for draft picks and hopes we lose every game because how crappy is that: entering the playoffs at 9-7.

Though sometimes a little win streak at that right moment (end of season) can go a long way in the playoffs. Who knows maybe, just maybe, we hit our high at the right moment.

Oh did I mention that the 2011/2012 Giants were a #6 seed at 9-7 and beat Atlanta (13-3), Packers (11-5) and 49ers (11-4-1) on the road to beat the Patriots (12-4) in the Superbowl.

Any given Sunday......

If only we had a top 10 defense and a top 10 qb to pair with our 6-7 record :frown
You never know....
That year Eli was really a QB in the middle of the pack. I think he ended up somewhere around 15 or 14. The same with their defense. I don't think they were top 10. They just played great at the right time.

Oh yeah I was looking at the reverted def standings. Their defense wasn't so great. We were 6th in PA that year, not bad. Hard to believe our defense fell off the cliff so hard this year. Maybe they can relinquish that low points allowed they were so good at early on.

Timing is everything.

29 points allowed in the last 2 games would put the defense in top 10 scoring defenses for that period.
And Cutler's has 5 TD's and 2 Ints during the same period where the offense has averaged 31 per game.

This Forum, man. Hahaha. Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for us to make the playoffs. I just find the "WE suck, Fire them all, CLEAN HOUSE!"

Then....(Fins Beat Pats)

Absolutely Hilarious.

Good times.
