I'm sure you all remember the words Seth McKinney had last year once Ricky retired. He was pissed. I wish someone would interview him on how he feels about Ricky's return. Also, if you're on the offensive line, and it is training camp, wouldn't you miss a block on purpose or tell big keith traylor or kevin carter what play is coming so Ricky takes a HUGE hit? I wouldn't be surprised at all if something happens like in the longest yard where the line refuses to block for Ricky. At least for one play, let him take a massive hit, or a couple, and THEN welcome him back to the Dolphins.

Deliberately letting Williams get hit is not going to happen. For one, like the old saying goes, two wrongs don't make a right. Also, these guys (on the O-Line) have a lot to prove. They aren't going to make themselves look bad by stooping to such a level. Another reason this will not happen: They are professionals. Doing something like that, regardless of who they are doing it to and why, would cause them to lose the respect from many other team mates. The biggest reason that it won't happen is simple: Nick Saban. I don't think I need to explain beyond those two words.

The O-Line has it all to prove

After their performance last season - throwing one and getting a potential gamebreaker hurt wouldn't enhance their rep any. If Ricky gets some yards this season after his layoff, it'll be less easy for people to say it's Ricky making the line look good so that's where they might get their own props.

(This would be a good scenario all round).

Yes, someone like Seth McKinney can really risk their already tenative hold on their job by pulling a stunt like that.

If anything, Ricky's debt to McKinney has already been settled. Ricky not playing in 2004 evened out McKinney "playing" in only the loosest of terms in 2003.

seth should stop sweating and start blocking and never mind ricky

Seth pulls that crap and HH will give him his walking papers.

I said then and I'll say now: Seth better worry about getting his ish together and stop bitchin' about someone else. Last time I checked you have to prove something before you can become a team leader.....

Seth Mckinney vs. Ricky Williams....Let's get ready to rumble!!!!

i dont want anybody missing blocks on purpose or nothing like that,.... BUT i would like to see ZT knock the snot outa ricky the first carry he gets, u know just to welcome him back :chuckle:

The way our line played last year, it wouldn't have to be on purpose.

I'd like to se Maximus Roth level Ricky fair and square no setup or anything like that justa good clean hit

That is the most ridiculous post I have ever seen. What are you talking about? Do you really think players care more about harming their own career in order to exact some kind of personal vendetta against Ricky? Do you really think that players, especially those who had to endure the disgrace and humiliation of the Dumstadt years, are unable to differentiate between poor coaching and good coaching? What kind of a fan are you that you would post such total nonsense on our board?

It is ok to be angry at Ricky, but like it or not our collective collapse last year was EXCLUSIVELY about poor coaching. Even with Ricky we would have STUNK! Your longest yard fantasy is part of a consciousness on this board that I find truly hard to understand. How is it that our fans are so vindictive that they are ready to cut their own noses to spite their faces? Get over it and route for Ricky or any other player on the playing field for our team to absolutely tear it up!

That there is funny...I don't car who you are

You better believe someone is gonna put Ricky on his azz the first chance they get....albeit legally, but they will hit him HARD. Heck, Saban might even have Ricky wearing the big red "please don't hit me" jersey just to avoid it.

They may never admit to it, but I'd also bet that this very subject has been discussed in that locker room more than once.

I say nail him...don't hurt him...but send the message. Then help him up and go win some games.
