ok we all know our line SUCKED last year but i think that it will be the most improved line in the nfl. the reason why it sucked imo was LT,C,RG that would be smith/dmac, mckinney, whitley and these guys will not start imo.
st.clair, hadnot and carey were ok at times . so as of right now mcdougle is a lock at rt and carey is doing good at LT, james is our LG but who will start at center and right guard? hadnot has to be in there at one of these and i have read that st.clair is working at guard so will it be carey, james, hadnot,st.cair, mcdougle? that looks good to me, thats a lot of beef up front thats like 1700 pounds omg!

I really don't think Carey will stay at LT. That is a lot to ask of him. He couldn't do it in college and didn't play very well last year.
I personally think McIntosh will bounce back from the injury that slowed him so much last year to have a good year. I think he will end up at LT.

Still not enough explosiveness or athletic ability. Carey could really help in that regard if he comes around, likewise if McDougle if he realizes he's allowed to try on every snap. I'm not a believer in McIntosh at LT. A quick upfield center would make all the difference, making the Hadnot experiment among the most interesting aspects of the team this year, IMO.

He didn't play well last year??? I think the one game he did play was pretty exceptional. I'm confused why you wouldn't root for Carey to win the job, becasue personally, Mark Royals would do a better job at LT the McInosh sometimes...

I think a big factor for the line isn't who is on it but that they have a steady coach. There is nothing worse than having a new coach every year giving you a new scheme. It can affect how you play, especially with a unit this young. Hopefully Houck will stay here awhile and keep things consistent. Also, who was that offensive that we drafted (can't remember his name). I remember reading that he was personally drafted by Houck himself. If he does well, he might see some playing time.

when is the last time carey played LT at any level? if he cant play RT, hows he gonna play LT? heck, hes fighting to win the RG position

Well, these guys have all played multiple positions during the OTA days. But, now it's time to get them locked into there position. I think the starting lineup at mini-camp will be very close to the starting lineup on game day.

LT Carey
LG James
C McKinney
RG St. Clair
RT McDougle

DMac has value as a swing tackle, and Hadnot has great value as a backup Center/Right Guard. Wade Smith will need time to develop at Center.

As for Carey...hopefully, fans will stop projecting him as a Right Guard.
St. Clair is too big to play center...RG might just be the best fit for him.

Smith, Cook, and Pape have an advantage over Whitely because of their ability to play multiple positions. It will be interesting to see how things shake out when the pads come on.

D-i-s-i-p-l-i-n-e !!!!

Houck is going to bring discipline to that O-line. I have watched that Brown Dolphin game over and over A.J. WAS PUNISHED BY THAT BROWNS D-LINE. Good last minute win though. Go Fins!!!!

I like that O-LINE up, Wade Smith was a big dissappointment.
He had a bad day, and didn't get a fair second chance...

He'll have a better career as a center though, he might even start next year if camp goes well for him.
