With Smiley gone for the season along with thomas, we are weak at the guard position. Could we maybe move satele to one of the sides and use our backup center that we just signed? I know the talent pool is SLIM on that O-Line and they have 4 big late season games to go. What do you guys think Parcells and Co. are going to do to address this issue?

Well the unit run-blocked relatively well and Pennington was relatively pressure free most of the game, so I wouldn't get overly worried yet.

The only real issue was penalties, but I suspect that the coaching staff will clean that up real quick.

Even tho I think Satele would be one hell of a pulling Guard on the Left side . . . I highly doubt the team would switch Centers w/o the Center getting hurt. I just couldn't see that, but I guess we will see.

He would be an excellent pulling LG. Like you said, I don't think the team will make that switch this late in the season with the playoffs and a division title still within the realm of possibility.

the only place that i thought the phins had there best players was offensive line at the start of the year, i would have been nice to have all five still

Personally i'd go with Quarterback we're way deep in that.

A false start and two pressures from Smiley's substitue. Add that to Satteles penalties and the OL could be just another hole in our already dinged up armour. Injuries suck. At full strength with Thomas, Smiley and Camerillo I'd like, no LOVE our chances with 5 games left. Other teams have had to deal with a ton of injuries so we should be able to as well. It can't be an excuse.

Agreed.

That was sort of my point. Other than the penalties, the offensive line was just fine today. It wasn't great, but then again, it hasn't been great all season long.

In this particular case, i can make exceptions. This is a rookie headcoaches fairytale type of a season when it comes to a team's rebuilding year. Considering our lack of depth to even start the season off, and then back to back injuries in the past few games really puts a dark cloud over the immediate future. Dont get me wrong i'm ecstatic about the success and progress of this team thus far. And from a health standpoint, we made it farther than probably any other team out there when we were going without injuries for as long as we were.

So yeah, for alot of teams who were contenders headed into the prior offseason, i could see it not being an excuse. But this is our first year of rebuilding, i'm shocked that we even have a winning record.

Wow, you have low expectations. I agree with a lot of what you said, but you can't sit there and wait on losses especially from a team that could be 9-3 (Jets, Texans) now. I'm just wondering how they can continue to keep up their high level of play with the current injuries. I dont look at last years 1-15record as a constant crutch like so many on here do. I think it's irrelevant.

Answer = Rosie O donnell

Andy Alleman did a real nice job filling in for Smiley and the Run Block was fairly well. I think our line will be just fine and we recently signed Al Johnson who can come in a maybe push Satele to up his game. It is gonna be real interesting to see who gets signed this week.
