Prior to seeing the preseason games thus far, one of the changes I was really excited to hear about was the introduction of the zone running game, and with the addition of Bush and Thomas along with Hilliard who I think is a diamond in the rough, I was hopeful our running game was going to take on a different and more exciting dynamic.

However, I am concerned that we have 2 different concepts appearing within the current OL arrangement, in fact one that reminds me of a high school/college approach, in that we have a 'Quick side' and a 'Strong Side'. No prizes for guessing which one is which. I just don’t see at this level, that this sort of combination is going to be successful.

I think it was CK who commented in his top 10 points in reviewing the Carolina game, that NFL defenses will certainly pick up on this very quickly and scheme accordingly. This I believe could greatly limit the opportunity of generating ‘balance’ within the running game.

Really surprised what with all the focus on getting more dynamic in the offense that we have not made the required shift in thinking in OL play and the resultant personnel decisions - to fit with the new scheme, i.e. Zone!

From a personal standpoint [I run the zone scheme for my own offense], I would love to see a line up of

LT J. Long
LG Pouncey
C O’ Hara [sign him]
RG R. Incognito
RT N. Garner

In my humble opinion, this could be the makings of a quality, athletic and mobile OL, with a good combination of experience and youth mixed in. And should really help in exploiting the zone running style of Bush/Thomas & Hilliard.

Very concerned right now about our right side of the O Line and how this fits in with the development of our offense as a whole.

My concern with the schemes right now is the number of reach blocks I see. I am seeing cases where there is no way the blocker is going to be able to get over and get in front of his man. At a lower level they can do it, but at the pro level this just results in a man in your backfield IMO.

so miami is now running a zone blocking scheme? if so... reggie is gonna have a year and a half... one cut and gone? im in love!

not trying to start up anything but....what makes you think the dancing style of reggie bush resembles anything like a one cut and go style?

He is the total opposite of one cut and go... daniel thomas is our one cut and go guy...

What is it going to take to understand that Nate Garner is NOT a starting OT, OG or C in the NFL. " OK " backup but it ends there folks. Any Oline with Garner starting anywhere, you choose, will ge a bad one. Nate Garner is not nor ever was what some people imagine him to be. Just like no one understood why Thomas was cut and Smiley was traded. Continues to amaze me.

What will be fugly Sat is if Murtha cannot play. Whoever is chosen to play LT is going to be fugly and no, its not going to be Garner. That would go beyond fugly to disastrous

Huh havent seen him in awhile have u?

your kidding right?

even though he had a good game, no one in their right mind can say he was one cutting and going.
perfect example.. the whole world opens up and instead of hitting the hole.. he stutters, stutters some more, then jumps outside (where bmarsh then pushes a guy in the back)... but he refused to just run.

there is a difference between juking and making a guy miss, and dancing.

Reggie Dances. always has... and did against Carolina.
