question for those that had the opportunity to watch the game...

How did the line look? Was it as disastrous as I imagined it would be or did it actually resemble planning and practice was involved?

Starting oline played 10 plays . . . the first series was 10 plays and resulted in a TD . . . . yea they looked good.

The right side of Satele/Thomas/James played the entire first half. Overall, a good job considering this line is a work in progress

Juwan James played into the 3rd quarter and had an overall real solid night. The holding calls didn't start until he left the game.

The pass blocking was fine. The pass protection from the starting 5 was as good as could be asked for. Keep in mind that Atlanta is considered to have one of the worst pass rushing fronts in the NFL, but that's really all you can ask of them.

Run blocking wasn't impressive but they were able to convert a third and short.

Ju'wuan James kept his quarterbacks clean and didn't commit any penalties, so props to him.

The 1's played OK...the 2's were even not that bad. The OL was not the issue tonight. Problem was poor QB'ing from Lobato and too many penalties.

James actually looked like he wanted to run block... it was nice to see.
Colledge got a lot of play looked solid.
Samson got the snaps there and didnt look lost.

A good thing Lobato and Brock will not be here in a few days or weeks.

I thought they had BIG Paul Soliai, maybe he is not the best pass rusher but the O-line deserves credit.

It looks like this oline will be improved. 16 regular season games in the scrum of it all will tell us for sure.

Paul is playing nose tackle in a 3-4. He is a great run stuffer, but he's not going to be getting a lot of QB pressure from that position.

I'm certainly not ready to declare our pass protection problems fixed, especially since I didn't see any Lamar Miller / Daniel Thomas blitz pickups. Those were a huge problem area last year.

thanks for the updates guys. much appreciated!

Amazingly, the OL was not the problem tonight.
