Hey all,

Just wondering if there is any Bay Area Fin fans out there who have attended a Raider game when the Fins are in town.

The reason I'm asking is becauseI'm going to the Oakland/Miami game with 3 of my cousins (all Raider fans), and with the Raider Fan's reputation, I'm seriously debating on whether or not I should wear my Dolphin gear.

We have great seats- 2nd row, 20 yard line behind the Dolphins bench. So needless to say, I really, really, really want to represent.

Just wondering if it's safe enough. Any feedback would be appreciated!
 
you have to represent man, i know about the reputation of the raider fans, but cut your loses and do it. it will be brutal though, i went to the FSU/Miami game this year, and i wore all my canes stuff, and after the game it was pretty bad, it will probably be much worse up there, but still.
 
I personally wouldn`t wear a Dolphin uniform in the Oakland Coliseum. I had Raiders season tickets for four years when they were in LA, and I was at the game when that Steelers fan (who was wearing a Steelers jersey) got killed following the Raiders/Steelers playoff game. Raider fans are all over opposing team fans, like a fly on s**t, and they are obnoxious as hell. I`d say wear a Dolphin jersey if you were going to SD, or to just about any other stadium, but not Oakland.

Well, that's a good strategy, but I don't think that will matter to the drunken Raider fans.

I've pretty much made up my mind that I'm going to wear my gear. How do you go to Dolphin game 2 rows from the field and not represent?

I guess I'm just trying to find out what I'm in for once I get there.
 
you guys would know much better than me.......however he has pretty good seats, do you think die hard raider fans would have that good of seats, just a question, i might be wrong

Who else would be sitting in the rest of those primo seats...Dolphins fans? He might have a bit of an advantage being two rows back...he probably won`t get as much s**t flicked to him there, than if he was say 25 rows up, but you still have to get out of the stadium...which could get dicey if da Raiders lose.
 
a whole different situation than dolphins stadium......good luck....id have a few beers in me before i go to that game

Pfft, you better wear that gear! Hell, paint your face and get some spiked aqua n' orange shoulder pads. You'll fit right in. :evil:

I posted a similar thread a couple of weeks ago. I live in Monterey and was wondering about wearing my phins gear. However, I was talking to one of the bus drivers that takes soldiers from some of the local bases; he said that he had to escort these guys with police and security or else the mob would have attacked them. He also said guys have gotten jumped in the urinals. I am definitely going to the game, but I doubt if I wear my gear. I didn't survive Iraq to be killed in that sewer town of Oakland.....
 
Honestly, just wear some neutral clothing and root for your fins quietly. If you want to deck yourself out in fins gear than prepare to get a bunch of **** thrown at you and have a bad time. It's not worth it.
 
You should probably take it off after the game and stay away from the restrooms.
