My observations (good and bad):
Everything that was already stated, plus:
-Team has confidence in themselves, each other, and the coaches. Not swagger yet, but confidence.
-Gus throwing it away and not forcing plays counts as "great" plays in my book.
-Biggest message in the game was when we answered their score with a TD to Booker. Wannyball is over!
-Goal line stand was great to see, but pretty stupid coaching on Denver's side. 3 runs into the pile? Maybe Wannyball is not over!
-I agree Brown had a better game than his stats, but I'd like to see him run better than Morris and Minor before I'm comfortable with his paycheck. He didn't look like a dominant running back, which a 2nd overall pick should, IMO. First game, I know, but I really didn't even see a flash of anything special, running-wise. The catch was beautiful.
-For us not be able to pick up inches on a qb sneak speaks volumes about McKinney's ability to blow people off the line. In the words of another poster when talking about Seth, "<Sigh.>"
-Favorite play of the game: Chambers' reverse, and not just because it gained 61 yards. I saw one of the widebodies, the fullback, McMichael, and Frerotte all out there lead blocking for Chambers. That's a group of players that want to win and will play 'til the whistle for 60 minutes!
-Crowder might be scary good!
-How much fun is JT having!?
-The pre-snap penalties will be dealt with. Those players, including JT, will be held accountable. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.
-Where are those Booker-bashers now? He had a great game. Our receiving corps is gonna be hard to game plan.
-While it was a bad play when Boston fumbled that pass, did you see how quick he reacted and dove on it? Wow.
-It's going to be a fun year!
