yrs ago remb john madden say 'jason garrett wld always be backup qb, but wld one day make a great coach'.

wondering which current players are though of like that?

for one, i would say no.54, zach thomas.

he was never the greatest physical speciman compared to other mlb, but was i think on par with ray lewis.

he was one of the best, if not the best of reading plays, and analyzing video.

so theres my shout, who else...................................?????????

Honestly, it's the guys that don't have the best natural ability but make up for it by thier work ethic/smarts that generally make the best coachs. Dan Marino could never be a coach, IMO, because you can't teach what he had.

Major Applewhite is going to be a good one one day....ZT could certainly be a great coach one day if he chose.
